Blog's Ressurection for 2021 - Back on track!!

       Being very busy all these months I have left blogging in second ( maybe way lower) place in my priorities and I have just realised that it's been more than 6 months without a post here...

      Shame on me! ..I was thinking...

     Thanks to my good friend Curt and it's annual competition ( Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge),    in which I will happily take part, I 'v been motivated to start uploading some posts trying to catch up for 2021 and some of my work that has been done all this time. 

    In this post I will present some of the projects for which I wont make a full post. I hope I will cover some of the rest till the end of the year..( very optimistic...hahaha)

 

   So , let's start with a bunch of the classic WW2 Airfix US Infantry  1:32 scale. 

 

Painted in my simple High Standard for a commission. Here is one one the painting table.

Some more WW2 figures that I have done this time will follow.

Here is Rommel from Matchbox Afrika Korps 1:32 set.

and also the classic Airfix German Infantry officer....

 

...and some German mountain troops 1:32 . Some of them are from the Afrika Korps set painted as Mountain trooper. No big difference on the uniform or equipment.

Also some mountain Troops painted as Austrian WW1 Infantry.

An interesting and matching conversion I would say..

 

 

 Then we have some "A Call To Arms" 1:32 British Grenadiers..

I will stop here at the moment, but there are a lot more figures and projects to be displayed here. 

So, renewing my date for the next week with some more or a complete post for a project..

Airfix 1:32 German Afrika "Corpse" - Zombie Soldier (!)

      Hi everyone! First post for 2021 and a Late " Happy New Year " .A Healthy and a creative year!

     Taking part on this years "Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge" my blog passes to a second place for posting. Of course some of my entries there will be posted here also.

 

     For this post I have a small conversion for you! This figure comes to me broken in this awkward ankle and the idea for a " Zombie-Sceleton" soldier comes in my mind easily when I needed "something that comes back to life" on a topic of the challenge:) . A small re-sculpting on the face and some extra damage on the clothes and my Zombie comes to life!!

 

   Next plan is to make an Army full of these! A splatter " Afrika Corpse " unit!!

1:32 Cowboy in Duel - Unbranded, Repainting

        Merry Chrismas to everyone and may 2021 be a Happy , healthy and Creative New Year!!

 Lets hope that all this COVID situation will end within this new year and things get back to normal again..

     With this figure I returned to that set I have mentioned again in the past. A very nice unbranded set of Cowboys and Indians that copies classical poses of Airfix and possibly Marx(?) figures. These figures are in a big 1:32 scale ( about 58mm) and they are a bit simple in detail. But their asset is the faces! Great detailing and clear faces, a pleasure to paint..

  I'm also happy with the matterial witch is harder than Airfix an more difficult to bend. The primer and the paint stick on to it very well. I have painted one more of these cowboys in the past and you can find it in the post listing.

  The scull is scratch build by plasteline (!) and the base is a plain iron plate. I made the scull one day playing with my daughter and kept it for future use.  This figure was primed and ready to paint for some months and watching me every day from the shelf. 

 

   I'm also thinking adding this wooden base but I cannot decide. Your opinion might help :)

Lead Roman Gladiators 1:30 scale

      Another big scale commission for this week. Finished two weeks a go it's ti to display ...

      Here we got three metal-lead figures in 65mm, 1:30 scale of Roman Gladiators. I believe they are all of the class "Murmillo", correct me if I'm wrong.. Great figures with excellent detail. I will definitively paint some more of them in my higher standard in the future..

Airfix Handmade Display Vignette 1:32

        Hello everyone! Covid restrictions continuing and we are in a general Lockdown again... I hope you are all healthy and safe. More patience we mast have and I hope ,all this will come to an end soon... 

       Back to my painting projects and again in my 1:32 WW2 favourite era. I made this small vignette for a friend before some weeks , and then, I thought why not, to put it on my shops as a custom order vignette for collectors or as a gift.

  

I've chosen the 4 most significant forces  of WW2 . So from left to right we have : 

US. Infantry , British Commando , Russian Infantry and of course German Infantry man.

 Also chosen action and shooting figures , rather than standing or running to give more power to the visual result. I'm thinking now for one display with the Officers of these sets. It would also be nice :)
