An Almost Finish And A New Wip
I finished all the embroidery on my La Cucina stitching. I am really pleased with it! Especially the colors:
I used a variety of stitches, the lettering is done in the Back Stitch:
The flower petals are Fishbone Stitch and the flower centers are the Jacobean Couching Stitch. The yellow swirls are Satin Stitches and French Knots . I will post again about how I am going to finish this little project now that the embroidery is done.
Now on to my newest wip - this olive branch border is also from La Cucina Italiana. Isn't this fabric beautiful? I can't wait to start stitching on it.
For my floss colors, I am thinking of this combination: I may add some different greens to give a shading effect. I love how much this fabric and these floss colors match these recipe cards too:
I think I will start stitching these olives first.
I will be sure to post pictures of my progress!

Polka Dots
I have always loved polka dot patterns and I recently designed some polka dot recipe cards that I am putting in my Etsy shop:
I made these cards editable and of course printable! They are really easy to use, they are a pdf and you just open them with Adobe Reader - which you can download for free here You can then type in your recipe or just print the cards and hand write in your recipe:
I made 24 cards total, 12 in pastel colors and 12 in brights. I named all the colors as follows :)
Here are the pastels:
and here are the brights:
Each color has two cards, the main card with the word "Recipe" and room to write or type your title and your recipe. But, for those really long recipes, you may need more room - the second card is the same design but is just lines for your to write or type the rest of the recipe:
They come two to a page and once you are done typing or writing your recipe, you just cut them apart:
These were such a pleasure to design, and I am already really enjoying using them!

Printable recipe cards
This project has been keeping me very busy:
Printable recipe cards! I have just finished a set of 28 cards:
in eight different colors. Half of the cards have a whimsical food related image:
And half are plain:
The colors range from pale blues and pinks:
to sage green:
to acid greens and yellows:
and of course bright blue and red:
When cut, these cards are 4" x 6". I printed mine on cardstock. They are easy to print and cut out:
And I know they will be fun to use!
I just listed these in the big B Etsy shop!
