I don't see a lot of second generation General Motors F-bodies on the road these days. I'd say that's probably because rust got a bunch of them and overconfident teenage throttle jockeys got a bunch more.

However carrying my Canon EOS RP and the RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS zoom lens managed to summon a couple 1975 model Ponchos recently.

There was the Alpine Green Firebird Formula 400, which we've seen before.

A new-to-me one was this Firebird Trans Am in Cameo White.

The combo of the RP and the 24-105/4-7.1 is so compact and lightweight for a full-frame camera. It's very handy to tote.

A 2019-2024 Bentley Continental GTC. This is the lesser model, with the 542 horsepower twin turbo 4.0L V-8 and not the 6.0L twin turbo W12, which puts out a whopping 650 ponies.

Here's a sexy ride you don't see very often. It's a 1966 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S. The color is not factory and the extremely ready-to-party backbeat throbbing from the exhaust said that whatever's going on under the hood isn't either.

This 1965 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport, complete with rumbly 396-cube big block under the hood, was absolutely eye-catching.

A tasty Nova with an SS hood. The grille says '69 but it's modified enough that it's hard to be a hundred percent sure.

It's got aftermarket disc brakes on all four corners and the fat dual exhausts dumping out just aft of each rear wheel were emitting a noise advertising that this car had something serious going on under the hood. It was definitely ready to party.

Here's a 1965 Electra 225 convertible in the color that Buick called "Bamboo Cream". It's in really nice shape; obviously not a garage-dwelling creampuff but a regularly driven car with which the owner's happily battling entropy.

Spotting MG TD kit cars built on a Volkswagen Beetle chassis is pretty easy from behind, as the exhaust system of the little rear-mounted air-cooled VW flat four is a dead giveaway.

From the nose end, you have to look at the front suspension. The coil springs and lower control arms let us know that this one's the real deal and not a replica.

While out and about the other day I happened across my car's older sibling...

At the time I thought the aero on the late Fox body Mustang GT was a little overwrought. My opinion has mellowed with time, although the cheese grater taillight louvers are still a bit much.

Automotif DCXXII...

I was absolutely tickled to spot this very clean and straight Austin-Healey Sprite out and about. This would be a 1959-1961 model, and the color is Colorado Red.

This was from back when sports cars were very tiny. As an illustration of how tiny, the Sprite Mark II was a little bigger, and you can see how it's dwarfed by a Subaru Outback in this photo. (And an Outback itself is not a monstrously large automobile.)
