brayanramiles Lain is one of my most favorite anime of all time and I wanted somehow show how much I care for Bôa, specially after almost twenty years after 2005's "Get There".

LocutusOfAnglo I may still not be able to understand Lain, but I can certainly understand how much I love this band's music. Twenty years have flown by but Bôa's musical talents certainly haven't. Favorite track: Shadow.

CP Cooke I can't believe I've been listening to this album for almost a year already. Every listen feels like I'm chipping away at my hardened walls and discovering the broken soul that I've kept safely hidden from the world for so long. Frozen / Beautiful and Broken are a perfect reflection of a life lived, and then you have the confident strut of Seafarer to counter those fragile moments. I love it all and am ever thankful for Bôa's long awaited return.❤️💔❤️‍🩹 Favorite track: Beautiful & Broken.

Silence take care of me Hold me in a way you’ve never held me before Show me just what it is and Let me balance myself on this floor I wish that I was stronger I wish that I was better But I think there’s something beautiful In the broken Silence give me a moment Let me figure out what I need Take care of your hones Let them know that they’ll always be seen I wish that I could be better I wish that I could be stronger But I think there’s something beautiful In the broken Take care of your loved ones Give them something else they can focus on Give me a moment to rest my eyes And I’ll be with you soon I wish that I could be better I wish that I could be stronger But I think there’s something beautiful In the broken I wish that I could be stronger I wish that I could be better But I think there’s something beautiful In the broken

Worry 04:48
Sing for me, let me feel released Let me learn from my mistakes Oh, sing for me, let me feel relieved Cos I need to believe I’m alive I’m trying hard to remember what it is I’m trying hard to recall if I care at all It’s like an old place I used to know That I had to leave I watch it crumble I watch it fall I’m worried I worry all the time I’m worried I’m burning inside I’m worried I worry all the time And my head and my heart are on fire I’m taking all of the passion that I had I’m trying to hold it in my hands but I let it fall And in the end it becomes my own destroyer I turn it round and I’m lost again I’m worried I worry all the time I’m worried I’m burning inside I’m worried I worry all the time And my head and my heart are on fire I’m on fire now and I’m burning out Hey, hey Hey, hey Hey, hey, yeah I’m trying hard to remember what it is I’m taking hold of my passion I’m worried I worry all the time I’m worried I’m burning inside I’m worried I worry all the time With my head and my heart I'm on fire I’m worried I worry all the time I’m worried I’m burning inside I’m worried I worry all the time And my head and my heart are on fire I’m on fire now and I’m burning out Hey, hey (hey, hey) Hey, hey I’m on fire now and I’m burning out Hey, hey (hey, hey) Hey, hey, hey (hey, hey) I’m on fire now and I’m burning out Hey, hey (hey, hey) Hey, hey (hey, hey) Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Hey, hey Hey, hey

about

'Whiplash' is the first album recorded by bôa in over twenty years, following the incredible reemergence of 'Duvet'. The album is a collection of melody-driven narratives, leaning into the emotive and relatable lyricism which resonates so well with fans. “Whiplash” is very human and uniquely universal — reflecting on the tides of time and relationships, which can refer to past entanglements, deep-rooted friendships, or even the abruptness of social change around us today. Newer fans craving more of the timeless warmth that has made “Duvet” an enduring hit will find that in abundance here, while decades-long fans will feel as if they’re welcoming an old friend back into the fold.

about

Bôa London, UK

In 1998, British alt-rock band bôa dropped their breakout single “Duvet,” a sweeping anthem that went on to
soundtrack the Japanese anime Serial Experiments Lain. Two decades later, “Duvet” re-emerged anew on TikTok, igniting a feverish renewed interest in the band and
inspiring bôa to return to the studio to record their first new music in over 20 years.
