Got Tagged

My (fairly new) friend, Muffin, tagged me!  So I have to answer the following 10 questions:

1.  Describe yourself in 7 words.
  • (Grrreat) kisser, (pawsistent) licker, alert, curious, timid, sensitive, fashionable.

2.  What keeps you up at night?
  • I keep Mom up at night (scratching, licking, switching sleep locations)! Not the other way round BOL!

3.  Who would you like to be?
  • Mom wants me to be "Junior".  Behavior wise - calm and confident.
The famous Junior from The Dog Whisperer, with Cesar Millan.

4.  What are you wearing?
  • Either tank tops or t-shirts.

5.  What scares you?
  • Being alone at home :'(
Did a 'circus performance' to vent my anxiety when I was alone at home (few years back).

6.   The best and worst of blogging.
  • Best: Knowing more furry pals in Blogville.  Worst: Running out of topics!
7.   The last website I visited.
  • Muffin's  "A Dog Named Muffin" BOL because she he tagged me so I have to get the questions copied.
8.   What is one thing I would change about myself?
  • Mom says getting rid of my separation anxiety! (see Q.5)  *clears throat* But Mom is saying there's a whole lot more of things I should change :P
9.   Slankets - yes or no?
  • No.

10. Tell us something about the person who tagged you.
  • Muffin's Mom, Sarah, is very very young; I bet y'all can't tell!  She resides in Singapore just like me!  Muffin was picked by Sarah and neither party is regretting that! ^_^
11. Tag 8 more blogs.

One Lovely Blog Award

Another award, nominated by Muffin again. Heehee...thank you very muchie, Muffin! ^_^

And so, I in turn am nominating the following blogs for this "One Lovely Blog Award":

  • Two French Bull Dogs - It's always enjoyable reading the posts on the antics of these 2 Frenchies, Benny & Lily! Their photos always make me laugh too!
  • Dory's Backyard - The stories of 3 Lhasa Apso (Dory, Bilbo & Jakey). Very interesting stories they write!
  • Downunder Daisy - Adventures of 2 Scotties (Daisy, Bella) + 1 Bull Mix (Roxy). They are full of adventures!
  • Tooki (Living With 6 Hamsters (And 2 Dogs)) - Very fun postings on 2 very lovable characters, Wawa (adopted stray dog) and Coco (Miniature Schnauzer)!
  • Yuki & Rocket - 2 Miniature Schnauzers. Beautiful photos they pose and post. Interesting stories about their lives, training and sometimes even doggie recipes!
  • The Daily Diary of Douglas - Fun posts about a very cute Scottie pup.

The above are not listed in order of preference.  I'd like to apologize if yours were not listed above as there are just too many blogs to list; they are all equally lovely!

Versatile Blogger Award

Thank you Butters for passing me the Versatile Blogger Award! I'm supposed to share seven facts about my peeps and then pass the award on to fifteen new, or newly discovered, bloggers' hoomans. So here are seven things about my peeps:

1.   Mommy is a SAHM (Stay-At-Home-Mom) to me and I am the only (fur)kid at home. They have no plans to have human kid(s) so there's no fear of fighting due to jealousy BOL.

2.   Mommy was an Accountant before being a SAHM.  Studied at a university in Perth, Western Australia.  Coincidentally, I was also born in Western Australia!

3.   I'm my peeps' first dog. Actually there was a Chihuahua before me, but he was super sticky that he'd whined and cried even as Mom left him alone just to get a drink from the kitchen!! She almost had nervous breakdown even though he was only with them for about a week. Luckily his previous owner was most happy to have him back (and kept him for good after that!). Mom cried on the day they returned the Chihuahua whom they named Chino. I joined this family 3-4 months after that. That was Year 2003, Sep 6.

4.   Mommy is more doting on me than Daddy. She protects me more while Daddy thinks that she's spoiling me bad! When Daddy chases me in play, I always run to Mom for cover.

5.   Mommy got interested in bread-making these past 2 years, with the help of a breadmaker machine of course. She doesn't go to any baking class but self learnt from others' blogs. Sadly none of the yeasty smelling dough ended up in my tummy!

6.   Food blogs are the other items of interest that appear in Mommy's Google Reader besides our doggies' blogs.

7.   We do not have the luxury of owning a car as it is too expensive here where we live (an average 1600cc japanese car costs maybe about USD70,000 before other expenses...just an approximation as I know nuts about cars). So we always travel in cab, with me in a crate, when going for visits to vet etc.

Now, passing on the award to these great bloggers (not in any order of preference).  Please ignore if you'd already gotten the award from sumbuddy else):

Stylish Blogger Award

I am so excited! This is my first time EVER receiving an award!! Actually I got 2 of the same award BOL....A BIG thank you to Downunder Daisy and I am Santa, a Miniature Schnauzer who gave me the award!

I am supposed to tell you 7 things about myself and then pass on the award to other blogger friends.  Perhaps you have heard some of the things before but may be so long ago that it is okay for me to repeat here ^_^ :

1.     As we stay in (high rise) apartment, none of our furnitures are near/next to the windows for MY safety even though the windows are all grilled up.  But I love to look outside the windows sometime. So what I do is:

  • jump up to the nearest sofa,
  • look at Mommy and whine a bit,
  • then stand with my front paws up on the sofa armrest facing the window,
  • Mommy or Daddy gets my message and:

 (neighbour: "Is that a spiderdog???!!")

2.   I am scared of lots of things, for example umbrellas (open and closed), plastic bottles, soft type of doggie carriers/bags (I dare not go in them!) etc etc...AND not to forget the "lamp shade":

Help! I am not a bulb! Why put me in a lamp shade???

3.   I have separation anxiety.  Mommy video taped me before and saw that I would sit down for few seconds then paced around the room/house restlessly.  She believes that I behave this way throughout the whole duration that I am home alone!

Above pic was the first video they took when I was alone.  Nope, I wasn't watching TV ...it wasn't even turned on. I was looking high and low for Mommy. I howled and howled ... Now we have another sofa already and its design does not allow me to pull the above stunt anymore.

4.   See that something below the sofa? That was a Kong toy.  Mommy is thankful that I LOVE FOOD above any other things!  She stuffs my Kongs with food and leave them in the kitchen in order to keep me there while she quickly leaves the house.  However, my anxiety kicks in once I am done with the Kongs and find Mommy missing! :(

5.   By now you would have noticed that I wear clothes most of the time.  The reason is because of my skin problems, not vanity.  Since late puppyhood, I have been plagued with pimply skin, rashes, fungus infection...which makes me itch and scratchy!  So by wearing clothes, it helps to protect my skin from being scratched red/raw! (We have gone through food elimination, eaten raw, tried vegetarian (resulting in heaps of poo!) and till now, only dry food no treats. Still nothing works!) *cry*

6.   Licking is my best hobby!  I lick the tiled floor, the bed(sheet), the sofa, my paws, mommy's legs, daddy's legs, daddy's face, my cushion cover...and the list goes on.

7.   I bark at 'silly' things! I bark when:
  • daddy gets out from shower;
  • there's sound outside our door;
  • I am on my walks - bark at boisterous children, adults carrying opened umbrellas or wearing caps or wearing glasses, some things along my familiar route which were not previously there, a big banner etc etc...but sometimes I do not bark at all when passing by the above-said people. Strange indeed but don't ask me why! :P

Now, I am passing the award to:
  1. from sophie's view
  2. Paw Steps to Happiness
  3. My three boys and a bird dog
  4. The World According to Lexi
