I got into Jute Gyte after his Oviri release and started making my way backwards from there, this being the second album I downloaded. Ahh yes, I remember exactly where I was when I first explored this album. For me, not quite as impressive as Oviri, but not far from it. The first two songs are tremendous, the ambient section at 1:38 of 'Like the Woodcutter' is classic Jute Gyte, and 'Consciousness Is Nature's Nightmare' is also intriguing—its title likely influenced by the writings of Ligotti.

The idea of an album with lyrical themes based on a bad genre name pun sounds like it wouldn't be that good. Thankfully, these guys are really talented.
