I climbed a mountain in my dream last night Wet mud caking my shoes When we reached the end my legs were heavier than lead But even then it was less stressful than all life's dotted lines. I need two houses for my conscience One to live in, one to hide From all life's little problems that can pile up nonstop But two mortgages are more than I handle at a time Caffeine's a godsend for the focus A cup of coffee or two Can send me hurtling headfirst into anxiety or work There's no telling, but perfectionism's my eternal curse Deadlines take away the fun part Getting work done's not the chore Giving it my all in my own time is the cure Maybe it's a discipline I lack And there's no coming back. [Bridge] Every time I'm making progress The goalposts like to up and run Like a clockwise argument, binge eating or a nap It feels like nothing ever happened while ample time has passed While wear and tear breaks down my wallet Money costs money to make Maybe if my car explodes then I won't have to work I won't be going out this month or year, but could be worse Gives me time to work on projects One of 10 I've left behind Not to mention an album's worth of barely finished songs I don't know how to terminate a melody at all So I hope you all like this one Took me two hours to write And by the time we play again, I'll probably have gone Over these words once or twice and decided they were wrong But now my drive is gone

Left hand Right hand All the same to artists with no hands Right foot, left foot Right foot on the left A new age of media smacks us in the gob Bleeding out the hopes of up and comers looking for a job Welcome to a song and dance once performed by you But now it simply wears your voice and face and soon your attitude Right thumb, Left pinky Maybe the distinction's not so clear Don't get, Your hopes up, Cuz left foot's on the left Algorithms blend and glean good data from the bad You can feed it ugly poison, that might only make it mad From a single ounce of input, through logic it derives A million ways to make that data pleasing to the eye Souls are Now forfeit Plagiarism's simply just a word Looks good, No question, Now right hand's on the right Might have nipped it in the bud through more apprehensive law Sure you can tell the difference, now go show it to your mom I bet some loser in here thinks human hands are flawed So while your toiling hands get hard we'll let the software draw Count them, 10 fingers Count them 10 fingers Count them, 10 fingers, Count them 10 fingers

Double-Tap 01:38
Give me that Give me that Give me that Give me that Double tap Give me that Give me that Give me that Give me that Double tap Why would projecting any meaning be the goal, when we can do the things we do just for flash and show And some of them might even be impressed But even more of them are gonna know So give me that Give me that Give me that Give me that Double tap I'm hooked on minor pleasures But I'm hardly in the race So tell me what I mean to you And double-tap my face I know they're just some snippets Of the mess that is my life But I just need someone out there To tell me I'm alright And give me that Give me that Give me that Give me that Double tap Give me that Give me that Give me that Double tap Took a million shots and thought they looked like crap But I'll be damned if anyone thinks that I ever look bad I probably shouldn't eat this heavy meal But fuck those starving children, take a picture, in the trash And give me that Give me that Give me that Give me that Double tap I'm hooked on minor pleasures But I'm hardly in the race So tell me what I mean to you And double-tap my face I know that they're just snippets From the mess that is my life But I just need someone out there To tell me I'm alright So give me that Give me that Give me that Give me that Double tap Give me that Give me that Give me that Double tap

See it Believe it What a wonder modern science has made Just my 50-foot long Converted roughly from metric Sattelite-based Conflict-O-Ray Oh no It might start with a look Or a mispoured cup of coffee Whatever sets you off Like a light switch Everyone around you Just might see a primal instinct ripping through And any moment now They'll feel it too No lasers Or bombs It's no barbaric war machine like you've seen It's an ultra-concentrated Dose of pure unbridled hatred Sent to earth on an infrared beam Oh no Once the outbreak's started There'll be no one to blame Not that you'll care for whos or whys with your amygdala inflamed You'll see Just how cruel humankind can truly be with A touch of Acute neuropathy The unaffected bastions at the corners of the globe Did well to keep their whereabouts in places I don't know But somewhere around hour three The one to worry about won't be me

Peace 01:41
Time now for wasteful patterns To which we've lost another year If at least one med is working You just might allay some fear But nothing seems to work when you are low And when you're feeling up you wish that time would slow That's when you turn to Google with your ills But you've burnt through every answer and you know nothing still Whoah One method of control Convinces you that you're enough The other one repeats a mantra You're missing something we've all got An introspective journey's just the key But what works even better is to spend money Your happiness is not a guarantee Only that you might become a good machine Whoah Structure comes just after patience Pleasure makes that structure fall Once you're standing in the rubble You may not know peace at all But peace is an overrated state of being Use that anxious energy to say something Maybe that's where you will find your calm And not in expectations that you might never meet Whoah

Get Good 01:02
One, two, three, four, five Oh yeah I've seen it That self-assured look on your face And brother I've been there I don't know if you've got what it takes You got to get good Get good Too many people think they're all that. They got to get good Get good Back the confidence with some facts Now I'm a bit of hypocrite Sometimes I speak before I can act And there's nothing to show for it All the time I spent back in the lab It's not a crime to just get good Get good Hyperbolic time chamber-it-up And tell your friends you've got to get good Get good And you'll see them when you think it's enough One, two, three, four, five One, two, three, four, five
