1976 Schwinn Competition Scrambler
found years ago at a garage sale, 10 bucks!
1976 schwinn competition found at a garage sale years ago for 10 dollars! the lime green with the black tuffs looks mean! i just found out that this was one of the first bmx race bikes owned by my local schwinn dealer it was part of their race team, they would let select racers run the bike in certain events it has a hand stamped serial# on the bottom bracket and also sarasota schwinn stamp next to it, i know some of the guys from the old days at my local schwinn shop and finally asked my buddy chris about the hand stampings, the cranks have a 1972 dated arm and a large spiral sprocket the tuff wheels were added for their lighter weight and it has a jaguar seat and the icing on the cake is the g-boy ultra rare forks i asked chris about the g-boys and he said we would add any lighter or newest trick components at the time to the race bikes to give the riders an advantage.
