Marigold moments

I stamp the marigolds in Blackberry Bliss ink to give the appearance of carnations instead of marigolds. I used the dies from the coordinating die set to die cut the trim you see. The greeting is from Stampin' Up! Beautiful Thistles stamp set die cut using a Stitched Rectangle Die.

Today's project uses some last chance items. They are Marigold Moments Bundle, Pretty Prints DSP and Stitched Rectangles Dies.

Today's card features Stampin' Up Marigold Moments Stamp Set. I paired it with Stampin' Up Regency Park DSP. I started with a panel of Basic White and a smaller panel of Basic White. I stamped the flowers in the corner of each piece of Basic White with Polished Pink ink. I then stamped the solid flower image with Polished Pink that I stamped off one time. The marigold stamp set has a smaller flower that can be used to make carnations. It's a 2-step process. I masked the top flower, then stamped the 2nd flower, so it appears behind. Sentiment is heat embossed. Background is soft saffron using Blending Brushes; splatter is basic gray Bending Brush.
