While a majority of tasks done by the CSF are required too and can usually been done in Armor or bodysuit, those aren't permitted to be worn all the time hence the work uniforms. You'll mostly see Officers wearing them as usually they aren't in harms way and don't require armor (though 9 times out of 10 you'll see them wear armor anyways). Naval Operations and Air Force are the main benefactors of work uniforms but Standard Operations have them as well.
