Yay! I got all four Diamond Hill blocks hand appliqued, glue washed out, and set together. I am LOVING IT! I also got one corner glue basted in the border. Earlier in the year, I appliqued a block called "Miss Kelly" designed by Erin Russek. I have decided to finish it in a "Round Robin" sort of fashion. I wanted to start by designing an applique border for this piece, first I scanned a few my own flowers/buds and leaves that I planned to work with. I finished a quilt just after Christmas that I haven't posted about. This quilt I've been calling Not Toasty is for my 13 year old son. He was eager to start sleeping under it - mostly because I made it extra long so it will stay tucked in on his extra long twin bed. Donna does such a beautiful job on her appliqued quilts. She is making heirloom applique quilts for her grandchildren and I did another one for her several years ago. At last I can post a picture of the Prairie Quilt Guild Opportunity Quilt that I have been working on since last January! My committee tried to keep it under wraps until it could be presented to the guild, which we did this week. The drawing for the quilt will be at our quilt show this June.
