When she was 6 she trained a pet chicken & felt famous as it was filmed by Pathé News “Little Mary O'Connor.” Much later she wrote that everything since had been anticlimax. While in high school she used a pet duck to model her sewing projects. As an adult she lived on a farm and raised as many as 100 🦚 & all kinds of 🦆 , ostrichs, emus, toucans, & exotic bird.
