Last spring, I decided it was time to start a vegetable garden. The only problem? My backyard soil was hard and full of rocks. That’s when I stumbled upon the idea of building a raised garden bed. These beds measure 7’ x 5’ x 3’ x 2’ 3’ .
Made from 4”x 6” wooden beams from Home Depot (because they will cut the 12’ beam for me to the measurements I want) Lowes will not. 
They get screwed together to form a level & I have 3 levels for each #gardenbed 
I use 6” lag screws to secure the pieces together to make a level &  then 8” lag screws to secure the levels together stacking them to make the full garden beds. 
Once the layers are built, I build the full beds by stacking three on top and screwing each layer into each other with an 8 inch lag screw.
I added a light layer of stain to help with mold we get here in NC.
