Three Great Teal Recipes for Delicious Venison Dishes

Teal season is in full swing across much of the U.S., and hunters in several areas got the added bonus of an extra bird or two in the daily bag limit. Hopefully, if your early-season shooting is on, that means plenty of teal for the grill. If you're lucky enough to limit out, here are three great teal recipes to try this month.

Anas Crecca, Common Teal, Eurasian Green-winged Teal. Tiny duck found in sheltered wetlands and breeds in temperate Eurosiberia and migrates south in winter. Forages by dabbling and tipping-up to reach submerged aquatic vegetation. In the breeding season it eats mainly aquatic invertebrates, such as crustaceans, insects and their larvae, molluscs and worms. In winter, it shifts to a largely granivorous diet, feeding on seeds of aquatic plants and grasses, including sedges and grains.
