Rosette pattern

This mandala looks a lot a rosette cactus plant, or a plant known as "Hens and Chicks" that's easy to grow. There's a particular flower called an Aeonium Cyclops that is a great source of inspiration for color.

I felt like returning to some complex rosette patterns. This one was part of a series taught by @richardhenryart from @artofislamicpattern way back in 2020. The pattern consists of 12 and 9 fold rosettes from the Alhambra. The next step is to add colour.

Circular rosette with 6 petals in a circle. It is made by rotating circles about a fixed point. The radii of the smaller circles are less than the distance between the point of rotation and the center of the circle. Thus, there is a hole in the center.
