The giving tree

Shel Silverstein's "The Giving Tree" shows us that you don't need complex words to tell a complex story.

Why it gives you the feels: The fact that the tree was SO DAMN CONTENT even as a stump. As a parent, it reminds you of the eternal love you have for your child and the willingness to sacrifice your happiness for theirs.

Look who I found! I would love to properly graffiti the stump, but it's on school property, so Picmonkey satisfied my urge. Unlike The Giving Tree, this stump gets plenty of attention from the nursery children every school day.
