This 1924 Ford Model T touring is said to have belonged to the seller’s father until being inherited by the seller and later acquired by their dealership. The car is powered by a replacement 177ci inline-four paired with a two-speed planetary gear transmission and is finished in black with a matching soft top over black vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes 21″ wood-spoke wheels with whitewall tires, a rear-mounted spare, a folding windshield, an alternator, and Rocky Mountain rear drum brakes. This Model T is now offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with a clean Virginia title.
The open touring car body wears an older repaint in black and features a black convertible top, a single taillight, and a folding windshield.
The 21″ wood-spoke wheels are mounted with Firestone whitewall tires, and a spare tire is mounted to the rear of the car. Rocky Mountain rear drum brakes have been added. The selling dealer notes that the wheel bearings have been recently replaced.
The cabin features two rows of bench seating upholstered in black vinyl. The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of an ammeter. No odometer is fitted, and total mileage is unknown, although the selling dealer estimates adding 100 miles under their ownership.
The replacement 177ci inline-four was factory rated at 20 horsepower and was replaced under current ownership with a unit rebuilt by Ron’s Machine Shop in Shandon, Ohio. It is said to be equipped with a 280 camshaft, and an alternator has been added. The radiator and fuel tank are replacements.
The car is titled by its engine number, 9078973, which corresponds to a unit built in January 1924.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed planetary gear transmission. The torque tube and rear end have also reportedly been rebuilt.
