Why native plants?
Native plants, defined as species historically found growing without human intervention in a given location, provide substantial ecological benefits including increasing the abundance of native #birds and #pollinators (learn more here and here). Native plants are also far less likely to cause ecological harm than species introduced from other continents.
Why climate-smart?
On their own, native species are moving much too slowly to 'keep up' with the rapid pace of climate change (learn more). To build #EcologicalResilience to climate change, ecologists have suggested use of #WarmAdaptedGenotypes over local genotypes and planting warm-adapted plants beyond the margins of their historical ranges."

Brouillette of abuse. In a filing for an order of protection in December 2019, obtained by The New York Times, the woman wrote that he had broken her door down, destroyed her belongings and dumped her clothes over a bridge.

"I am scared of him coming to my home or sitting in the parking lot of my work until I leave," she said in the filing.

A federal immigration agent told his former wife that he was the person who fatally shot a Colombian immigrant in Maine this week and defended his actions to her, the ex-wife said.

The man who was killed, Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero, 25, lived with his partner and 3-year-old daughter in Biddeford, Maine. He had been driving away from his home early on Monday morning when agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement confronted him. Multiple gunshots rang out, leaving holes in the windshield of Mr. Guerrero's car.

There's some nuance missing here. There are two main reasons these folks work for the government.
Latine folks who work for #CBP, #ICE, etc. consider themselves #Americans, and their attitude tends to be similar to #suburban #white / #anglo #Texans; they are #legal. They are nth-generation Americans because where their ancestors lived became part of the #US — especially in #Texas #Florida, #California, #Arizona, and #NewMexico.
The other reason is that people from many South- and Central-American countries fall under the Latine/Latinx/Latino/Hispanic umbrella. Folks with Mexican heritage can totally want to deport gamg members from other Spanish-speaking countries.
It's a self-image thing. You and I and the US Census may consider them to be Latine, but they see themselves as Americans.
I'm not excusing anyone. #ACAB
This is part of the 1% agenda of creating division.

How to prevent cyclosporiasis
Cooking produce is an effective way to avoid an infection, as heating food to 158 degrees Fahrenheit or higher kills Cyclospora.
Public health officials advise thoroughly rinsing all fresh produce under running water, even items that say they are prewashed. Do this before eating (if eaten raw) or cooking.
It is also important for home cooks to observe standard food safety rules, and that includes washing your hands with soap and water before and after handling fresh produce.
Public health officials don't yet know what foods may be the sources of the recent cases and stress the importance of washing any fresh produce you intend to eat.

I think #Israel should be ranked up there as one of the most dangerous entities operating. Right along side #Russia and the #US. All of them dangerous, rogue states operating without ethics or concern for humanity as a whole, and only protecting a certain subset of wealthy individuals, run by madmen.
