In the lead up to the trial Afroman did a sit down interview with local news explaining what the hearing was about.

He says this IS his art style, largely rapping about his life in very direct ways.

"I was going to clean my room, but then I got high"

So for Afroman when cops caused thousands of dollars in damage to his home in a botched raid and refused to help repair it he did what he always does, he rapped about it.

There's a word to describe Brendan Carr's attempt to throttle the free press and make it dance to the tune of the state. US media and history textbooks have been very willing to use that word when it comes to other nations.

The word is fascism. Brendan Carr and other authors of Project 2025 want fascist control of American government and society.

And none of this is new. This is how it has always been done. In Nazi Germany, Joseph Goebbels issued daily press directives telling editors what headlines to run, what stories to bury, and exactly how to frame the regime’s actions."

Afroman heads to court this month after deputies sued him for turning their unfounded raid on his home into viral music videos that exposed their faces and actions when he used his security camera footage of the raid.

The trial begins March 16 in Adams County, , where the legal battle between the rapper and law enforcement has become a test case for free speech rights in the digital age.

Afroman’s argument is straightforward: he documented what happened to him and turned his story into art.

Supernova+ posted info to their Telegram stating that Russia's MAX is basically a repackaged Telegram fork, under the control of the Russian FSB... which is essentially the FBI, CIA, and NSA all rolled into one. Supernova+ also released some really detailed information on MAX that , , , , , etc. should be VERY interested in, including how to protect yourself from MAX, if you're required to install it. I translated/screen captured the info.

"Max" is not a "new messenger", but a repackaged Telegram fork, compiled under the control of the FSB. According to internal builds (leaked repo fsb-max-v4.2.1.apk, May 2025), everything you write there is automatically copied to the "Archive-22" on the servers of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media. Here's what's really happening:

1. Technical essence
- Codebase - Telegram Android 10.3.3, but e2e-encryption for personal chats is removed (call setSecretChatEnabled(false)).
- Instead of MTProto, "MTProto-R" is used - the same protocol, but with a hardcoded RSA key from the FSB (0x1B, 0xEF, 0xC0...).
- All voice packets are in 16-bit PCM format, captured on the server and decrypted online.
- Built-in "antisafety" - if root-detection or Magisk is detected, the app self-uninstalls and sends a post-request to the Ministry of Digital Development.

2. How it's implemented
- Decree of the Ministry of Labor No. 132-n of 15.05.2025: civil servants, the public sector, state corporations (Railways, Rosneft, Sberbank, Rostec) are obliged to install "Max" by 01.07.2025.

For schools/universities - via the ROC "My School": the director receives a KPI "installation percentage"; <95% = removal of bonuses.

3. Why it's needed
- Telegram did not hand over the keys → the FSB wants mass interception without court orders.
- "Max" immediately gives:
  - Geolocation every 30 seconds (even if GPS is turned off - via Wi-Fi-BSSID).
  - A copy of all contacts and calls (permissions declared "critical").
  - Access to the camera/microphone in the background (under the pretext of "secure call").

4. What you face for refusal
- Fine of 30-50% of salary for the first month; then - "official non-compliance" → dismissal under Art. 81 p. 5 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.
- For civil servants - a "unreliable" flag in the FSB database; if you try to get a job in the private sector, the "Cadres" system automatically rejects you.

5. Secret flags of the firmware
- gov.max.forceUpdate = true - remote forced update without confirmation.
- gov.max.backdoorKey = 0xdeadbeef - master key for decrypting local caches.
- gov.max.remoteWipe = 1 - you can erase all data on the device when you're dismissed.

                              6. How to escape the coercion (at your own risk)
- Install "Max" on an old SIM card → give permissions → immediately block it in Shelter/Work-Profile; the UID remains in the database, activity is zero.
- Or buy a $30 Xiaomi for cash, insert a corporate SIM, leave it in a drawer; use your main phone in airplane mode at work.
- For root devices: patch (remove the call sendTelemetry()), rebuild the APK → sign with a test key; updates are broken, but the KPI is counted.

Timeline:
- 01.07.2025 - Full transition of the public sector to "Max".
- 01.09.2025 - Bill on fines for PRIVATE companies (≥100 employees) for the lack of "Max" on corporate devices.
- 01.12.2025 - It is planned to ban sideload installation of any APK except RuStore (where "Max" will be preinstalled).

Conclusion: "Max" is not a messenger, but a state Trojan. Forced installation is needed to intercept what Telegram failed to take - your conversations, geo and metadata without any court orders.

It's merely accepting that history isn't complete, and sometimes new things are found about historical figures, and that sometimes your beloved historical "free speech" is pretty abhorrent when you frame it in modern terms.

It's not rewriting history; it's looking at it with the benefit of a few centuries of learning and medical advances in treating bladder stones. All of which I accept that Andrew Doyle is desperate to roll back and erase as quickly as possible.

Andrew Doyle is the author of “Free Speech and Why It Matters” and “The New Puritans.”

Samuel Pepys was, famously, an extraordinary diarist, offering a vivid first-hand account of life in Restoration England from 1660 to 1669. He was an eyewitness to the Great Fire of London in 1666 and recorded fascinating details of the ravages of the bubonic plague. His diaries were also intensely personal, with entries that echo familiarly across the centuries, whether recounting his rivalries and triumphs in his job as a naval administrator, his frustrations (can’t find a coach in the rain!), his delight in friends or boredom with dull sermons.

Fletcher joined the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) in 1912 and became secretary of the IWW District Council in 1913. He also co-founded the interracial Local 8 in 1913. Also in 1913, he led a successful strike of over 10,000 dockers. At that time, roughly one-third of the dockers on the Philadelphia waterfront were black. Another 33% were Irish. And about 33% were Polish and Lithuanian. Prior to the IWW organizing drive, the employers routinely pitted black workers against white, and Polish against Irish. The IWW was one of the only unions of the era that organized workers into the same locals, regardless of race or ethnicity. And its main leader in Philadelphia was an African American, Ben Fletcher.

By 1916, thanks in large part to Fletcher’s organizing skill, all but two of Philadelphia’s docks were controlled by the IWW. And the IWW maintained control of the Philly waterfront for about a decade. After the 1913 strike, Fletcher travelled up and down the east coast organizing dockers. However, he was nearly lynched in Norfolk, Virginia in 1917. At that time, roughly 10% of the IWW’s 1 million members were African American. Most had been rejected from other unions because of their skin color. In 1918, the state arrested him for treason, sentencing him to ten years, for the crime of organizing workers during wartime. He served three years. Fletcher supposedly said to Big Bill Haywood after the trial that the judge had been using “very ungrammatical language. . . His sentences are much too long.”

Almost immediately, Hitler began his attacks on labor, with his Sturmabteilung (paramilitary) raiding and burning union offices and assassinating labor leaders, while the police looked on. In May, 1933, he created the German Labor Front, a fascist labor organization to replace the gutted unions. They sent many of the labor leaders to concentration camps and abolished collective bargaining and union elections. Also in May, 1933, the Nazis also attacked and destroyed the Institute for Sexual Sciences, home to the world’s first trans medical clinic, which performed the world’s first sexual reassignment surgeries, for Karl Meir Baer, in 1906, and Lili Elbe, in 1930-1931.

Whether or not you think the comparison of Trump’s United States with Nazi Germany is a valid one, both came after trans people almost from day 1. And Project 2025 very directly targets unions and labor activism. So, if your workplace isn’t already organized, it’s past time to get started.

A VPN ban isn’t really meant stop you from using one. It means when they catch you doing so, they’ll use the fact you’re using this harmless technology itself as a *pretense* to lock you up without needing to do any “hard work” (i.e. an investigator’s job) like actually confirming whether you committed a real crime.

Don’t think you won’t be impacted just because you know how to outsmart an ISP filter! This is not a plan to protect children or stop you from consuming adult media. It is a ploy to eventually eliminate ALL freedom of expression and free access to information in the UK.

Their original focus was freedom of speech, primarily anti-war speech, and supporting conscientious objectors. In 1923, they defended author Upton Sinclair after he was arrested for trying to read the First Amendment during an IWW rally. In 1925, they persuaded John T. Scopes to defy Tennessee's anti-evolution law in The State of Tennessee v. John Thomas Scopes. Clarence Darrow, an ACLU member, headed Scopes' legal team. The ACLU lost the case and Scopes was fined $100. In 1926, they defended H. L. Mencken, who deliberately broke Boston law by distributing copies of his banned American Mercury magazine and won their first major acquittal. However, they kicked Elizabeth Gurley Flynn off their board in 1940 because of her Communist affiliations. And they refused defend Paul Robeson and other leftists in the 1950s.
