I finally broke. Mental health reached a breaking point
I reached my breaking point today . Walked into my managers office and said I couldn’t hack the job anymore . SSA has caused me to break As someone who fights demons from military service , dealing with chronic health problems finally hit a breaking point and cried for the first time in public . I served my country honorably as a combat engineer in the US Army for 15 LONG years . Before I hit year 5 , I had already spent almost 29 of those months in Afghanistan doing route clearance . After two deployments , I finally found my purpose in life and started a family . Fast forward a tad , I start a wonderful career with the federal government, and was amazed at the opportunities, and benefits that came with working , and continuing to serve my country. Since starting working for SSA, I have had a large portion of my colon removed(complications from diverticulitis), a minor stroke, shingles , AFib that resulted in two heart surgeries . I’m still in my 30’s.After hitting my 10 year mark , I made history by publicly crying. I hit my breaking point . I never thought I would admit I’m mentally exhausted . But it happened. The constant barrage of insults from the public . Mad because work isn’t being done . You’re mad because you know why it’s not being done, but you have to become the emotional punching bag . I must say that admitting that I mentally broke today feels really good, but it still saddens me that we’re being deliberately mistreated . What tops it off , is that if you mention anything about it to people outside of work , they chalk it up as being “ left leaning conjecture “. My heart goes out to all my VA folks. I’ve noticed that feds from across the government ether are pretty tight knit . PS. I’m good , I’m getting the help I need . I wanted to share because one thing I have learned is that you should not suffer in silence . After all I have been through , it was rather embarrassing crying in front of another grown man , but having humility will soothe the soul .

Over the past month and a half, I've encountered a lot of Very Serious PeopleTM in my life, and on my TV, who seem to think that the best way to counteract Trump's fascist regime as it tears everything apart and starts trying to disappear political prisoners, is to "not take the bait" and wait for the courts to handle it. "We are still a nation of laws" these folks have assured me, even though I've spent the past four decades watching US presidents break the law in ways that are more acceptable to Pig Empire society than Trump does. Throughout that time, my question has always been "well what are you gonna do when he just ignores the law? I mean it's not like you can send the local sheriff to evict him from the White House, and the GOP is extremely unlikely to help their inept opposition to impeach him." To the degree that I've been able to actually ask that question in person, I have yet to receive a reasonable reply; which is unfortunate, because completely ignoring the courts appears to be precisely what Downmarket Mussolini and his merry gang of shitposting nazi freaks are doing:
Trump Officials Are Pretending A Judge Didn't Bar His Anti-Diversity Orders
"In at least one case, the senior executive says, a U.S. official told the international organization that they knew about the court injunction and what it meant, but that the senior ranks of the Trump administration had explicitly instructed staff to enforce Trump’s executive orders, to ignore the court’s injunction, and to pressure partner organizations if need be. This official also said that if the nonprofit’s leaders didn’t sign the new paperwork, they’d risk having their funding quickly terminated by the Trump administration, per the senior executive.
“The Trump administration is daring the courts in the United States to do something about this, and thus far, I don’t think most people in America understand that what’s at risk is the fundamental basis that there is fairness and justice and rule of law in the United States,” says the senior executive. “And whatever you think of DEI, we should all agree that running the government based on the rule of law is a requirement. The playbook that is being used in the U.S. is not new; we’ve seen it in country after country where there’s been an increase in authoritarianism. To see it in the modern United States itself is what’s new and disturbing.”
The other two sources, one of whom is a Trump appointee, tell Rolling Stone that the directive to comply with Trump’s DEI orders, despite what the judge said, has gone out to an array of nonprofit organizations and partners around the world."
This is kind of a messy article that spends a lot of words going over the timeline of the Trump administration's attempts to play dumb about what the judge's injunction actually blocks in terms of Trump's anti-diversity executive orders, but the key takeaway isn't that complex. Trump has knowingly, and directly ordered his administration to ignore the injunction and continue enforcing his anti-diversity orders both inside the government and towards outside contractors and partners. This is not speculative, several sources *inside* the Trump administration have confirmed that the regime knows what the injunction means, and government employees are being ordered to simply ignore the ruling. Borrowing a page from noted genocidal racist U.S. president Andrew Jackson, Trump has effectively declared "Adam Abelson has made his decision; now let him enforce it."
Should this come as a surprise to anyone in the American establishment "opposition?" Well, probably not, because as the article notes Trump and his minions have more or less been actively broadcasting their intentions to ignore court orders designed to block their fascist agenda:
"The episode is part of a broader pattern in which the second Trump administration has operated under the impression that judges’ orders and rulings don’t much matter. Vice President J.D. Vance has publicly argued that Trump can ignore judges’ orders, asserting: “Judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power.” Trump, for his part, has threatened to “look at” judges who rule against Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Over Presidents Day weekend, Trump admitted he thinks he can break any law he wants to — so long as he can loosely define doing so as part of his mission to “save” the country."
Folks, like I've been telling you for a while, the cavalry ain't coming. If a GOP-controlled government won't impeach him, and the regime won't obey court orders, nothing short of an uprising is stopping these nazis anytime soon; no matter HOW much that scares an "opposition" establishment that hates people power.

I guess while I'm proving damning allegations I made in the thread above, we should take a quick look at some of Elon Musk's correspondence with noted pedophile human trafficker Jeff Epstein. In my head, I've been kind of keeping a distinction between people who are "in the files" plotting with Epstein, and people who would be on a hypothetical "Epstein list" of co-conspirators in criminal activities like sexual assault, pedophilia, kidnapping, human trafficking, violent abuse, maybe murder, but also financial crimes to hide the transactions involved in all the monstrous shit Epstein and friends were up to; the kinda stuff you're supposed to go to jail for. As you'll see below, Elon Musk is the man in between those two categories because even though I can't really prove he raped anybody, his sheer thirst to party with a known pedophile blackmailer, on his pedophile island where all the pedophile and other rapey shit happened, brings up some awkward questions.

"Even more damningly in December 2012, Musk sent an email practically begging Epstein for an invitation to some debauchery.
“Do you have any parties planned? I’ve been working to the edge of sanity this year and so, once my kids head home after Christmas, I really want to hit the party scene in St Barts or elsewhere and let loose,” Musk wrote. He added that “a peaceful island experience is the opposite of what I’m looking for.”
Now look, I'm sure Musk's lawyers can come up with a million completely innocent reasons why the above email doesn't meant anything, and legally speaking, they're probably right. By that same measure however, I'm not an idiot. Epstein was first convicted for pedo rapey stuff in 2008, long after rumors and allegations of such were being published in semi-mainstream media sources. By 2012, everyone knew that Epstein Island was the place where the pedo rapey sex parties happened, and Musk isn't very good at subtlety. I'm not telling anyone what to think, but I think comments like "let loose," and “a peaceful island experience is the opposite of what I’m looking for" clearly imply Musk wanted to attend an Epstein party, and Epstein parties were even then infamous for pedo rapey shit. I certainly can't prove it, but Musk can't sue me for having an opinion.
As the article notes, Musk spent multiple Decembers, trying to get an invite to Epstein Island, or otherwise meet with the again, infamous pedophile rapist human trafficker and blackmailer, Jeff Epstein. Musk emailed again in 2013, and Epstein apparently schedule something for Musk with his secretary for January 2nd, 2014. But their plans fell through at the last minute. This recorded desire to meet however, was apparently mutual, as in emails from both 2012, and 2013, it was Epstein extending the invitation to Musk, albeit with far less self incriminating language.
"Those were far from the only times the pair made plans. In April 2013, Epstein asked Musk if he’d be around to have “dinner with woody allen and crowd at my house,” referring to the influential filmmaker and actor who’s also been accused of child sex abuse. Musk replied that he “might be in town.”
Epstein also invited Musk to his island in September 2012, recommending he “bring your friend or friends.”
“Sounds good,” Musk wrote, “I will try to make it.”
Finally, while it's not definitive, circumstantial evidence from other Epstein files mentioning Elon Musk, at least strongly imply the pair did in fact get together, likely on Epstein Island or very near it, at some point - likely Christmas 2013, and possibly even again in December 2014.
"And at least one email suggests the two had actually gotten together at one point. In September 2014, Epstein asked Elon, “are=you planning to do st barth again for xmas?” (St. Barth is Saint Barthélemy, where Musk has reportedly vacationed in the past.)
In December 2014, a Google Calendar alert titled “ELON MUSK TO ISLAND DEC. 6TH” appeared in the inbox of Groff, Epstein’s assistant."
As you'll see later on in this ongoing discussion, many analysts looking at the Epstein file releases, seem to believe that Elon Musk wasn't really one of the cool kids in the Epstein billionaire influence pedaling ring; that Epstein saw Musk as a means to gain access to other billionaire tech bro shitlords, more than as a peer. We also don't have any evidence he was one of the Epstein/Maxwell 10 criminal co-conspirators the FBI was tracking down in 2019. What I think we do know however, is that Elon certainly wanted to be one of the cool kids, and that desire extended as far as wanting to attend an Epstein Island party - for purely relaxational and not at all molestery purposes, I'm sure.
Finally, please keep in mind that due to his involvement with DOGE, Musk is indeed also another Trump regime official in the Epstein files.

With the Trump administration, the right question to ask is not "When are they lying?" but rather "When are they NOT lying?" Their whole public life is a total lie up to an extent that we really must ask ouselves if we're not dealing with people that are incapable of hearing - nevermind accepting - the truth.
"It should not come as a surprise that Vought, who admitted that his goal is to traumatize federal workers and drastically slash funding for social programs, has institutionalized DOGE in his role as OMB director. From breaking the civil service through mass firings (including the euphemistically named reduction-in-force, or RIF, orders) to unlawfully canceling the disbursement of funds appropriated by Congress (including through so-called pocket rescissions), Vought has been at the forefront of achieving DOGE’s mission.
Of course, this requires understanding that DOGE’s objective was never to save taxpayer dollars. Musk did not “fail,” as some credulously argued, but succeeded in a spectacularly evil goal. DOGE was—and remains, through Vought’s OMB—an effort to extinguish the existing government and create a new one in the image of oligarchs and far-right ideologues. Vought, it’s worth noting, has no issue with a $1 trillion military budget. Climate science, environmental and health regulations, and social welfare spending, on the other hand, are treated as unacceptable impediments to unfettered profitmaking.
It’s easy to see the continuity between Musk’s DOGE and Vought’s OMB when considering their shared method: baselessly claim that something is an example of “waste, fraud, and abuse,” and then take a chainsaw to it. Defunding projects that clash with Donald Trump’s right-wing goals is the through line, and it was presaged in Project 2025."

This late February article in The New Yorker briefly covers some of the same ground as the video above in terms of the Silicon Valley fascist influence in US politics, the close ties between the Trump regime and billionaire Yarvinites, and why rich tech nazis may see Trump's election as a vehicle to further their long-term efforts to establish private dictatorships by breaking the US administrative state and replacing it themselves. As such we can use it as supporting evidence for the Dark Gothic MAGA video, and to expand our starting point for discussions about the prominent role of billionaire fascists (of various types) in America and the larger Pig Empire's turn towards overt fascism and autocratic political forms. Furthermore, the author examines similar historical examples when technocrats with authoritarian political and organizational views merged with, and the case of Imperial Japan, subsumed fascist political orders.
Techno-Fascism Comes to America
"For a time, digital platforms seemed to support democratic government as a kind of communal megaphone; but now, a decade later, technology seems to be supplanting the established authority of the government. “There is a crisis of the state,” McElroy said, and Silicon Valley may be “trying to corrode state power” in order to more quickly replace it.
Silicon Valley is premised on the idea that its founders and engineers know better than anyone else: they can do better at disseminating information, at designing an office, at developing satellites and advancing space travel. By the same logic, they must be able to govern better than politicians and federal employees. Voguish concepts in Silicon Valley such as seasteading and “network states” feature independent, self-contained societies running on tech principles. Efforts to create such entities have either failed or remained confined to the realm of brand-building, as in the startup Praxis, a hypothetical plan for a new tech-driven city on the Mediterranean. Under the new Trump White House, though, the U.S. government is being offered up as a guinea pig, McElroy said. “Now that we’ve got Musk running the state, I don’t know if they need their little offshore bubbles as much as they thought they did before.”
Given Elon Musk's position at the head of DOGE and thus his role as the de facto exchequer of what Trump considers his personal empire, but most still call the American government, I have no qualms with the way this article focuses on Elon as a representation of the creepy tech elites behind Downmarket Mussolini. In fact, the author's note that Musk's use of so-called AI to carry out the purges all of these nazis desire (for various reasons) might represent an opportunity to refine automated systems of repression and control for billionaire tech fascists looking to run their own neo-monarchal states in the future, probably goes a long way towards explaining why Musk in particular is so keen to run point on this whole project for Trump. Frankly, I think the easiest way to understand the network of relationships, methods, and objectives of the various fascist power blocs in the movement behind Trump, is to imagine a minivan full of cartoonishly-evil nazis who're used to getting their way, all trying to control the activities of the driver, who may or may not be paying attention at any given moment. In this scenario the various groups of fascists vying for control of the vehicle Trump is driving are all on the same road, they all broadly agree on how to progress on their journey, but each of them intend to end up in different places by the time the drive is finished and they don't need the car anymore.

So last night I stumbled across this twenty-five minute interview with Guardian reporter Chris McGreal on Democracy Now!" Most of the conversation centers around the Musk family's longtime connections with Nazism (like literally the Third Reich) and neo-nazi movements, as well as how growing up in Apartheid South Africa shaped Elon Musk's worldview. Interestingly however, this is probably the first time I've ever seen anyone who works in corporate media mention that Peter Thiel, and David Sacks also have deep connections to apartheid societies in Africa. As you're likely aware, all three men have intimate connections with, and have financially supported, Trump and the larger fascist movement that's built around his cult of personality.
I'm sharing it here at least in part because McGreal is very firmly a mainstream media source, and until very recently this type of background information on the billionaire nazis ruining our society as we speak, really didn't get a lot of play in the mainstream media. This kind of critical background information wasn't necessarily a "secret," but corporate media has always been far too fawning towards tech billionaires to bring up "inconvenient truths" like the reality that the richest guy in the world, who is currently helping to enact a white nationalist agenda in America, comes from a family full of cracker nazis.
Edit: to be clear, I'm not saying that nobody ever rises above a reactionary upbringing here; I grew up in just such an environment myself and I think I've done a pretty good job of not turning out to be a nazi. I've made no secret of the fact that I think the nazi "broligarch" cultists who brought Trump to power, and support the creation of monarchal, technofeudalist city states under a variety of names (Network States, and Freedom Cities most prominently) are working on a larger, dystopian plan for literal authoritarian global domination; a plan that encompasses and revolves around the destruction of democratic structures, the implementation of digital fascist surveillance and repression via AI technology, the adoption of quasi-religious beliefs about our future as exemplified by the TESCREAL movement, and even the fascist plan to remake America into a type of dictatorship under Trump proposed by "neo-reactionary scholar" Curtis Yarvin, also known as The Butterfly Revolution. Taken together, the proponents of these ideas, who are often quite wealthy and influential people in our society and in particular the tech industry, have dubbed their ideology "Dark Enlightenment" which should give you at least some idea of both how obnoxious these rich fascists are, but also how far-reaching their plans ultimately go.
Furthermore, I am certain that this isn't just some weird conspiracy theory for three key reasons. First, the billionaire fascists have more or less told us their plans in the open. Secondly, since buying themselves a president, a small group of hyper-reactionary billionaires led by the world's richest nazi, Elon Musk, have more or less guided the Trump regime to act in countless ways that directly facilitate their obscene visions for the future of humanity.
Finally of course, there are quantifiable structural reasons why what these nazi cultist billionaires are proposing represents one of the only possible futures in which most of the planet maintains capitalism and free market fundamentalist ideology. After all, the planet is on fire, billions of people's lives are at stake if we don't act collectively to address climate crisis, and capitalism is the culprit causing both our impending destruction and our refusal to act; either capitalism and free market fundamentalism go to their graves, or billions of everyday people do, and these billionaire nazis know that. Folks aren't going to keep supporting a capitalist order that's killing them as the bodies pile up, so if you're going to keep doing capitalism for the benefit of an increasingly smaller ruling class, even as it leads to genocides all around us, you're going to need a political system that provides the necessary degree of surveillance, repression, and applied force to maintain control even as society disintegrates in real time - and that political system is going to look a lot like fascism, no matter what they choose to call it.
Despite their rhetoric about "the future" and their love of technology, the truth is the ideas and plans folks like Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, and Marc Andreessen (to name a few) are proposing to accomplish their goals, are old, decrepit, and often utterly disproven. As a species, we have already learned the horrible outcomes of adopting repugnant ideas like eugenics, feudalism, and fascism as enforced policy; and yet here today these ideas are being repackaged and renamed as the only hope for our future, by a billionaire nazi ruling class determined to rewind our society into the darkest days of our collective past. Down that road leads subjugation, violence, and death; which is probably why it appeals to rich nazis who value "artificial minds" (and labor) over human beings, and are preparing for a world where billions of people are "surplus" to their requirements as techno-feudalist overlords.
To demonstrate this last point, let's look at a piece by J.J. Anselmi writing in The New Republic that identifies a new (old) way to look at the Network States/Freedom cities plan being pushed by Balaji Srinivasan and his ultra wealthy backers; as the author notes, at its core a "Network State" or "Freedom City" is really just a big company town:

When a billionaire nazi who grew up under the apartheid system in South Africa starts talking about higher birthrates in "the Third World" and the need for "educated people" to have more babies, it doesn't take a psychic to realize that he's really talking about a perceived fascist need for white people to literally out breed non-white people as part of some implied racialized struggle for "the future of human civilization." He can dress it up with nonsense about going to Mars and preserving "civilization" and the human race, but it's very clear what "civilization" he's hoping to save, and what kind of humans he's hoping to "preserve" here; this is bog standard nazi shit.
All of which brings us to Musk's role as the head of the fascist Department of Government Efficiency and what Elon's beliefs can tell us about his actions in that role. DOGE hasn't touched the imperialist military, the police state, or government subsidies for corporations and the fossil fuel industry. Instead, under Musk's leadership DOGE has targeted global health programs, famine reduction efforts, and now has its eyes set on anything that helps America's poor; who I shouldn't have to remind you, are a segment of society where nonwhite people are overrepresented due to our long history of white supremacist capitalist and theft of generational wealth. Maybe the reason Elon Musk doesn't mind killing poor, mostly brown people is because he's a nazi freak who thinks we're in the middle of a race war to survive the apocalypse? And just maybe, that's news worth reporting to an American public being gutted by his department's "efficiency" cuts as we speak.
