Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/46.0.2490.80 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
i have 64bit version of java installed version runtime SE 8u65 and ffox nightly 41.0a1 picks up no problem at all on multiple of my machines, under windows 7, 8, 8.1. no x86 of java installed, only x64.
reproduce: install 64bit versions of nightly 42.0a1 or above java applets will not work because about:plugins doesn't show java is installed, hence addons --> plugin page also doesn't show java is installed even though it is installed.
Actual results:
64bits of nightly, 41.0a1 works, 42.0a1 showing "plugins is required" grey box, 43.0a1, 44.0a1 and 45.0a1 all don't even show "plugin is required" grey box and just blank and nothing. aside from 41.0a1, all of the above versions don't show java plugins under addon section.
Expected results:
latest nightly works with java, especially 43.0a1 and above.
list of steps i tried to see if they work but didn't help..
- updating java
- replace pluginreg.dat
- editing registry for firefox
- tried fresh firefox (safemode)
pls help me im at dead end here some pages not showing correctly in firefox nightly 41.0a1 but shows correctly on newer version but then java stops working.. even fresh install of the mentioned versions on brand new machine and brand new flash nothing works.

Have you enabled Java for web content in Control Panel > Java > Security and as default Java in the Advanced tab?

That's expected per bug 1200602. You need to prepare the fallback content yourself if the site is under you control.

Look at the summary of the duplicate bug carefully: Some plugins (Silverlight, Lync Web App, *Java*, ...)
Firefox Win64 only supports Flash Player. You cannot use any other plugins (including Silverlight and Java) on Firefox Win64.
