One app with staging and production. Small teams moving off Heroku.
- 60k dyno-hrs/mo
- $600/mo in add-on credits
Teams running multiple review apps alongside staging and production.
- 160k dyno-hrs/mo
- $1,500/mo in add-on credits
Multiple production apps across teams, with large always-on footprints.
- 400k dyno-hrs/mo
- $6,000/mo in add-on credits
Large production estates with heavy always-on compute and data needs.
- 1M dyno-hrs/mo
- $12,000/mo in add-on credits
Beyond Premier: for teams with needs beyond 1M hrs/mo, or that have specific needs (e.g. dedicated nodes, compliance or more), connect with our team and we'll put together a custom plan for you.
Try Build. Enough for a project that doesn't run around the clock.
- 350 dyno-hrs/mo
First always-on project. One 1x service running 24/7 comfortably fits.
- 1,000 dyno-hrs/mo
2x web + 1x worker + staging. The ceiling before you graduate to an enterprise plan.
- 4,000 dyno-hrs/mo
Developer plans are for solo developers and small teams getting started. Add-ons are purchased individually. Usage is hard-capped. Upgrade when you need more capacity.

Why we price this way.
Build's founders spent years running and scaling production workloads on major cloud platforms, frustrated by confusing pricing that punished growth. Our pricing is designed to support teams as they scale, not take advantage of their success.
Many platforms lock important features behind higher tiers, leaving you paying for more than you need. With Build, every platform feature is included. You only pay for the compute you need.
Instead of costs spread across services, usage meters and additional charges, Build keeps pricing simple: your dyno hours, plus the add-ons you choose.
Traffic varies. A launch, a campaign, a busy Tuesday. Our plans absorb normal variation to keep your bill consistent. Enterprise plans also include a soft cap, so you're not punished for unexpected growth.

Teams that left the runaround behind.
Real teams running production on Build, in their own words.
Build provides peace of mind through reliable, scalable infrastructure. Their support network is straightforward and responsive—we’ve eliminated the runaround and communication gaps we dealt with in the past. Build feels like a true partner and gives us a level of confidence we’ve never had before.
The Build team are super responsive and eager to work with us to ensure our infrastructure needs are met as we scale. Quick to get on a call and offer proactive solutions to any issues we may see on the horizon.
Frequently asked questions
What's included in the flat monthly price?
Each plan bundles a monthly pool of compute hours and add-on credits, with a discount already applied. Add-ons beyond your credits are billed to the same subscription as you use them. If you need more compute, capacity blocks of 5,000 hours are $150 each, and volume and term discounts are available through sales. Full dyno sizes and add-on pricing live in our docs.
What's the difference between Developer and Enterprise plans?
The main difference is the amount of compute. Developer plans are smaller, hard-capped pools for solo developers and small teams. Enterprise plans carry much larger pools plus bundled add-on credits, and add premium support and engineer-led migration for more complex needs. The features are the same on both.
What's a dyno, container, or instance?
A dyno (or instance) runs the compute for your app inside its own isolated container: a web server, a background worker, or a scheduled job. Each runs independently, so you scale by running more of them or larger sizes. Heroku calls them dynos; AWS, Render, and others call them instances or containers. You're billed only for the hours they run, measured in dyno-hours per month.
Why is compute sold in monthly buckets instead of metered?
Predictability. Metered billing tells you what you owe after the month ends; a bucket means you know before it starts. You pick a pool with headroom, the invoice stays identical every month, and if you grow toward the ceiling we right-size your plan before it becomes a problem.
What happens when you outgrow your pool?
Nothing breaks, and nothing surprises you. Build never meters you into a surprise overage or throttles your apps at the ceiling. As you approach your pool, add capacity in 5,000-hour blocks for $150 each, or we'll flag it early and right-size your plan with you before it's a problem.
What do bundled add-on credits cover?
Enterprise plans include monthly add-on credits, from $600 on Core to $12,000 on Premier. Credits apply to add-ons that run on Build infrastructure, like managed PostgreSQL and Redis. Anything beyond your bundle is billed to the same invoice as you use it. Partner add-ons are provided and billed separately by the partner and aren't covered by credits.
Can I change plans mid-cycle?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately, and downgrades apply from your next billing cycle. If your usage pattern changes, we'll help you right-size your plan rather than leave you overpaying.
Will you beat my current cloud bill?
Yes, through our bill-beat guarantee. Send us a recent, comparable invoice from Heroku, AWS, Render, Railway, Fly.io, or any other platform. We verify it and come back with a guaranteed monthly price below what you pay today, locked for 12 months, so there is no line-item negotiation and no surprises while you migrate. A current, comparable invoice is required. Terms apply, contact us to check your invoice qualifies.
How hard is it to migrate to Build?
Most apps move with no rewrite. Build is compatible with Heroku buildpacks, Postgres, Redis, pipelines, and config vars, and our engineers run the migration with you, with a tested rollback path. Migrations typically take days, not quarters. See how migration works.
Savings shown compare list prices for comparable configurations; actual savings depend on your workload and current contract. The bill-beat guarantee requires verification of a current, comparable invoice; terms and conditions apply. Plans renew monthly; capacity blocks and individually purchased add-ons are billed to your existing subscription. Partner add-ons are provided and billed by independent third parties under their own terms.
