I have used Prismacolor Pencils to color this image.
I colored the Iris to look like a Amaryllis flower.

Showcase Card - Sunday 1 February 2015

Welcome to our last day of Showcase Cards/Creations for January.  Tomorrow sees the start of cards/creations shared by the Design Team members.

It is time to show you our next Showcase Card.

Linda has created this card and entered it into the Monthly Blog Challenge.  She has used the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamp called "Iris".  Isn't it gorgeous.  Love the addition of all the flowers and butterflies.

Here is the second post of Showcase cards/creations for today.

Here is a card that has been entered into the Monthly Blog Challenge by Charming Chic Cards.  She has used the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps image called "Lily".  This is gorgeous and I love the pastel tones of the card.

Hello my lovelies!

Today I want to share my view on 

"Iris"

I love flowers.

And I love the way how Ching-Chou Kuik

has ensembled the girl with the Iris flowers. 

I was surfing on the net... looking for some inspirations 

for the colors of the Iris flowers.

Well.. a lot of color combo's came on the net.

But... I decided to go for the traditional colors...

Why...?

Well ... purple... that is my favorite color.

So here is my view on Iris.

I fuzzy cutted the image and I matted her on a 

piece of paper that I have distressed with Distress Inks.

I distressed it like it looks like clouds.

Here is a close up of the colored image.

I have colored the image with my 

Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils and oderless minerals. 

The backround papers are made by myself with Distress Inks.

I matted it on white cardstock and added 

a little sentiment on the side.

Showcase Card

Karola has coloured the image called "Iris" with Copics and used her daughter's paintbox for the background.  Normally it's the children borrowing their mum/dad's crafting items and not the other way round!!
