We were honored to support and participate in the 9/11 Tower Challenge 25th Anniversary, hosted by 100 Club of Arizona. On Sept. 11, nearly 1,800 first responders, veterans, families and community members gathered at State Farm Stadium to climb 2,071 steps, representing the 110 floors of the World Trade Center, in tribute to those we lost and in honor of those who continue to serve. We’re proud to support events that bring our community together in remembrance and help keep those memories alive. A big #ThanksCoach to coaches everywhere. Coaches give a lot to their communities — showing up for their teams, building confidence, and helping others grow. We’re celebrating the coaches from #TeamEPCOR one more time this #CoachesWeek! They’re also part of a bigger culture of giving back. In 2025, 160 EPCOR employees volunteered 11,501 hours. Their efforts were recognized with $48,000 in Helping Hands Grants, a program that rewards #TeamEPCOR's volunteer work with a grant they can direct to any community organization they care about. Thank you to our employees for showing up and making a difference in our communities. National Coaches Week continues through September 20. Know a coach who deserves a little extra recognition? In it for all the kids. Dave Glenn, Operations Manager, EPCOR Commercial Operations, Wood Buffalo Region, first got involved with ringette when he was asked to help out with his daughter’s team. Dave had played hockey, so he knew his way around a pair of skates, but knew very little about ringette. Now he’s heading into his fourth season as an assistant coach for a team that includes his daughters, Reese, 11, and Isla, 9, but proudly shares he’s there for all the kids. “I do it for the kids. I want to see them succeed. My kids and all the kids on the team.” For Dave, ringette is about much more than what happens on the ice. It’s about friendships, teamwork, confidence, physical activity and the experiences the kids share together, both during the season and beyond it. Seeing those benefits first-hand as a coach, Dave was recently inspired to join the association board, where he can help support ringette teams across the community, not just the ones his daughters play on. Through EPCOR’s Helping Hands Grant program, Dave directs funding to ringette teams that need it most. The funds go directly toward supporting the kids, helping with things like player development and other team expenses.. Helping girls find their confidence. Amanda Wybenga, Engineer, Controls Systems at EPCOR, has been coaching for years. She started with volleyball, coaching one of her three older sons and her daughter, Vera. When Vera, now 13, started playing indoor soccer, Amanda was already watching from the sidelines and stepped up when the team needed a coach. What keeps Amanda coaching are the relationships she’s built with the girls and the chance to help them find their confidence at an age when that can be tough. Coaching is about celebrating effort, encouraging the girls to communicate and be good teammates, and helping them see that success isn’t always about the score. “Junior high is such a tough age for young girls. I wanted to give back to the community and help them build not only their skills, but also their confidence and resiliency.” Giving back extends beyond the soccer field, too. Through EPCOR’s Helping Hands Grant program, Amanda has chosen to support a local homeless shelter, one of the other causes she cares about in her community. Coaching runs in the family. David Hirsche, Associate Director, Meter Data & Billing, first started coaching while he was in university. After taking some time away, he returned to coaching when his own kids started playing sports. Today, David coaches his 10-year-old son, Finn, and his nephew in baseball and basketball. His brother Rob and brother-in-law Blake are also coaches, bringing the three of them even closer. A big part of what keeps David coming back is sharing something he loves with his kids. He remembers having that same experience with his own dad, who coached him growing up. “I feel like my dad would have enjoyed seeing his two sons follow in his footsteps,” says David. “In a way, coaching lets me honour him.” For David, coaching is about spending time with his kids and watching them grow. It’s also about seeing them learn to trust each other, celebrate the good days, work through the tough ones and keep going. Those lessons carry into his work at EPCOR, too. Coaching has taught David a lot about teamwork, trust and working together toward a common goal. Eva's stunning photo captures the beauty of the White Tank Mountains, one of the Arizona's most treasured natural landscapes. This annual contest is sponsored by EPCOR USA and invites community members to submit a photo that captures the scenery and wildlife that make the White Tanks such a special part of the West Valley. Selected winning entries will be featured in the Conservancy's 2027 calendar. Thank you to everyone who participated and to the White Tank Mountains Conservancy for its ongoing work in conservation, education and stewardship.

It’s National Coaches Week! A week to celebrate the people behind the teams. Across Canada, coaches are giving their time to help young athletes learn, grow and build confidence, both on and off the field. This week, we’re celebrating the people who make a difference for athletes, families and communities. At EPCOR, many of our employees are part of that effort. Last year, 56 EPCOR employees volunteered as coaches, contributing 3,164 hours on the field, court and rink. Our Helping Hands Grant program celebrates that work. Coaches from across #TeamEPCOR received $16,800 in grants to direct towards community organizations that matter to them. Many chose to support the same sports clubs where they volunteer, while others supported organizations such as community leagues and food banks. Over the next few days, we’ll introduce you to three of them. You’ll hear what brought them to coaching, what they love about it and the moments that keep them coming back. Because when our employees give their time, they help make our communities stronger. Know a coach who deserves a #ThanksCoach? At this week's Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry Summer Policy Summit, EPCOR USA was proud to help convene conversations on some of the most consequential issues as the presenter of the water afternoon sessions. Discussions focused on Colorado River negotiations, the future of water policy and the critical connection between water security and economic growth.  EPCOR leaders were honored to contribute to these discussions. Shawn Bradford participated in a panel exploring why Arizona remains well-positioned for continued economic development and investment. Thomas A Loquvam joined state and industry leaders to discuss the rules and policies that will guide Arizona's next chapter of growth. And Joseph Grossman moderated a panel examining the risks, realities and future of Colorado River negotiations.  The conversations reinforced an important reality: sustainable growth requires long-term planning. From water policy and supply development to infrastructure investment and regional collaboration, Arizona's success depends on making thoughtful decisions today that support the communities and economy of tomorrow.  We're proud to be part of that work and the ongoing conversations helping ensure Arizona remains a great place to live, work and invest for generations to come.
