Bread in flower pots

Adapted from the master peasant bread recipe in Bread Toast Crumbs. Flowerpots: I use 6 small flowerpots measuring about 4 inches in diameter at the top opening and a little over 3 inches tall. Only use new pots. Thoroughly scrub with warm soapy water using a Dobie or 3M pad (this will help remove any small burrs). Rinse well. Completely submerge the pots in water and soak them for several hours. Allow them to dry overnight.
