Baked mochi is a staple here in the islands. Some with Filipino roots, some with Japanese roots, always a little bit different. Always the first dessert ....gone .... It was at a fundraiser bake sale that I first tried this recipe and had to ask for the recipe.I had never had it with a chocolate flavor before. The cook already had it written down on recipe cards for the asking.

The mochiko powder can probably be found in the oriental section of your grocery store. A secretary in my office made this recipe; she got the recipe from one of those recipe cards you can get at the grocers. For the cocoa, the recipe says you can use Nestles ... Let’s make the super soft and delicious mochi bites with no microwave and no steamer!

Ingredients:💌
♡Cocoa powder- 5g
♡Sugar- 30g
♡Corn starch- 10g
♡Plant Milk- 85g
♡Glutinous Rice Flour- 45g
♡Vega Butter- 10g

1. In a pan, Add cocoa powder, Sugar, Corn Flour and 35g Milk; Mix until combined.
2. Add 50g Milk and Mix until combined.
3. Add Glutinous Rice Flour and Mix until combined.
4. Add Butter.
5. Mix and cook on low heat until soft dough is formed.
6. Use hand gloves and Knead until stretchy.
7. Divide int Chocolate Mochi, Vegan For A Week, Vegan Recepies, Glutinous Rice Flour, Powder Sugar, Biscoff Cookies, Plant Based Cookbook, Soul Food Dinner, Corn Flour
