Nora & Ricky on film and digital for their quirky, retro Manhattan elopement. When we all talked N & R really emphasized how much they love film and the “perfectly imperfect” look. They didn’t want to the overly pretty stereotypical wedding photos. Leaning into their 60s era styles, they chose the Maritime Hotel in Chelsea to exchange vows and then we head over to a kitschy diner for some portraits. When Houda and Brandon's inquiry showed up in my inbox I couldn't contain my excitement. They had plans to marry surrounded by their family at their mosque. I was so excited because I had never had the opportunity to enter a mosque, let alone photographed a marriage ceremony in one. It was such an honor to learn the traditions of a muslim wedding ceremony and witness Houda and Brandon exchanging rings and voicing their commitment to each other in front of their loved ones.
