Dubh Artach Lighthouse and the NLB ship Pharos | Dubh Artach (gaelic for 'the Black Rock') is a remote rock 15 miles SW from the Ross of Mull and 18 miles west of Colonsay. The lighthouse was designed by Thomas Stevenson (father of Robert Louis) and was first lit in 1872.
