This teapot in the “Adelaide Shape” was made by John Rose Coalport c.1831+, see A Directory of British Teapots by Michael Berthoud and Richard Maskell, page 285, plate 1706. It's heavily molded, has 5 emerald green panels circling the body and 3 on the lid. It's lavishly gilded. The teapot has a small “duck’s head” spout, a squat finial and a divided handle with a short, high handle spur. There are no makers’ marks, only the pat. no. 2/765. The teapot is 8” tall and 10½” handle to spout.
