Backyard Kitchen - Make your own Vanilla! This is easy, I have not bought vanilla in years! Using a sharp knife, slice each vanilla bean in half/then slice lengthwise Place 6-8 vanilla bean pieces (that would be 3-4 whole beans) in each 8 ounce bottle. Using a measuring cup or funnel, pour vodka into each bottle completely covering the beans in the liquid. Now you need to wait! 3 - 4 months or longer for a stronger flavor.. You can also use dark rum in place of vodka for a richer darker vanilla! This will store forever almost! Just top up with more rum or vodka once or twice using the same beans.. add fresh vanilla beans as desired. Swing top bottles: http://amzn.to/18pNwo9 Vanilla Bean: http://amzn.to/2mCPWg2 | Facebook
