Cat Burglar?

One morning Mom got up and saw this draw open.

Then the next morning she got up and saw these drawers open.

We are thinking maybe a cat burglar got into the house and was lookin for our catnip and toys to steal. But Mom is thinkin maybe it was one of us bein nosey.

We're just gonna be hangin this Sunday. Mom was gone ALL day yesterday having a Girlie Day with her sister. She's way behind in quality time with us. We hopes everybody has a great Sunday!

Mancat Monday with Minchie Meow

I love laying here on the bathroom rug watching Mom while she gets ready in the morning.

Mom took these two pictures yesterday with her cell phone since she forgot her camera. This is the area behind the office building across the street from her work that has the cool area set up for the neighborhood ferals. This picture shows a big hollow tree that has fallen over. It is covered with tarps and blankets to insulate it on the inside. Right now snow is covering the tarps.

This is a really bad picture zoomed to show you sort of how it looks. You can barely see a kitty inside laying on freshly laundered (!!!) blankies. Outside (which you cannot see) is another blankie with four bowls that stinky goodness is served in and a huge box of dry foods. The lady that works in that building, Claire, takes care of them everyday. Mom is back up if she ever needs her to help out. Maybe next weekend Mom will remember to take the camera!

We're gonna have tunnels of fun today! Right now (at 7:30 am) it's 12 degrees ABOVE zero!!! We thought we read the temp wrong and it was -12. YAY! Maybe now Mom can open up the curtains and let some light in.

Frigid Friday

To help me stay warm in these arctic temps, I am laying on my mink blankie.

I don't know what is more silky soft, this blankie or my furs.


I think it's a tie.

This mink coat has been hanging in Mom's closet for four years now. It was her favorite Aunt's and she got it when she died. She has never worn it and just wanted to see what I would do. Well, of course I wanted to lay on it and keep my furs nice and toasty. Mom really doesn't know what to do with it so it just hangs in the closet. Maybe it can be brought out for me on these kind of days. Please Mom?

When we gotted up this morning the actual temp was -18F/-28C! But it's gonna get up to +5! A heat wave!

SPIDER!!!

Wordy Wednesday

These are two feral kitties who have been hanging around in the bushes at Mom's work off and on. The big one on the left is Eureka (who has been around for quite a few years), the Mom of Roomba and MiniMe, and the little black one is a new baby of hers.

Mom can't feed the ferals anymore or provide shelters like in the past because the work building is up for sale. Across the street is a huge setup for the ferals on the block that we know they can get lots of stinky goodness and dry foods and warm places to snuggle. Mom will have to go over there and take pictures of that set up some day.

Easy like Sunday morning

Right now the sun is shining and it's not snowing! But there is more snow on the way for every day and arctic temps for the whole week. Mom's plans got cancelled yesterday so we got her all to ourselves! She's hoping her plans for later don't get cancelled. More snow on it's way right now according to the radar. We are just gonna chill out here on the bed.

Snowy Saturday

Mom had to tip over the recliner to look for an earring and within seconds I (Minchie) being true to my breed, had to jump up on top. Note Laila sniffing around on the floor. She found one of her pipe cleaner fishies and was very happy.

So far at 9:15 AM this is what it looks like outside. Mom is getting very sick of this white stuff. It just won't stop. She's guessing maybe 10 inches on the ground. She may cancel her plans for today. At least the made it to the Dancing With the Stars on Tour last night but coming home was very dangerous.

These are the beautiful Christmas cards we got from our CB friends. Even the man in the blue shorts commented on how we were getting more than Mom. Mom is going to put them in our scrapbook album. Thanks to each and every one of you who we received a card from. We treasure your friendship.
