What are product reviews?
Product reviews are ratings and written feedback left by customers on individual products. Unlike store reviews, which cover the overall shopping experience, product reviews speak to a specific item.
Why product reviews matter at the product level?
You're paying for visitors who land, hesitate, and leave. They have no reason to trust your store yet. Reviews build that trust. A shopper on your product page wants to know three things: is it as described, does it last, and is it worth it. Product reviews answer all three, from people who've already bought.
How product reviews influence purchase decisions?
Shoppers rarely read every review. They scan the star rating, check how many people have left one, and look at the photos. That's why volume matters as well as sentiment: a product with two hundred legitimate reviews reassures in a way that a product with two can't. How do I add product reviews to Shopify?
Install Judge.me from the Shopify App Store. On Online Store 2.0 themes, enable the app embed, add the Review Widget to your product template and save. Check your request timing, or ask our support team to help.

Yes. Forever Free includes unlimited reviews and requests, photo and video reviews, core widgets and 24/7 human support.
Can I collect photo and video reviews for free?
Yes. Collect both on Free and display them in the Review Widget or supported free carousels.
