Highlights on Searches for Environmentally Friendly Gases in the CMS RPC System / Sandro Fonseca /CMS Collaboration
The Resistive Plate Chambers (RPC) of the Compact Muon Experiment (CMS) experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) operates with a gas mixture composed of 95.2$\%$ of C$_2$H$_2$F$_4$, a greenhouse gas with high Global-Warming Potential (GWP). In recent years, several eco-friendly alternatives, such as hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs), have been investigated to identify sustainable replacements that preserve the detector performance. [...]

Raw Data Reduction in the CMS Experiment for Run-3 and Phase-2 / Nandan, Saswati (INFN, Pisa) /CMS Collaboration
Reducing event and data sizes is critical for experiments at the LHC, where high collision rates and increased detector granularity rapidly increase storage and processing requirements. In the CMS experiment, a recent development to address this challenge is the Raw' format a new approach for recording silicon strip data in which only the reconstructed cluster's barycenter and average charge are stored, rather than the analog-to-digital converter counts from every strip. [...]

LHC Results at 13.6 TeV (ATLAS and CMS) / Pieri, Marco (UC, San Diego) /ATLAS and CMS Collaborations
The first two years of the LHC Run 3 and the first physics results obtained by the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations at the proton-proton center of mass of 13.6 TeV are presented. Both detectors underwent several upgrades in view of Run 3 and the trigger and reconstructions have been further improved. [...]

Performance of the front-end electronics of the CMS electromagnetic calorimeter barrel for the High-Luminosity LHC / The CMS electromagnetic calorimeter group
The performance of the CMS electromagnetic calorimeter upgraded readout electronics, developed for the High-Luminosity phase of the LHC, is discussed. Data collected in two beam test campaigns conducted in 2018 and 2021 at the H4 and H2 beam lines of the CERN SPS are analyzed. [...]

The Histogram Similarity Based Strategy for Performance Improvement of Multi-Class Classification with the Simulated CMS-HGCAL Data in Level-1 Trigger / Burazin Misura, Arijana (Split Tech. U.) ; Music, Josip (Split Tech. U.) ; Prvan, Marina (Split Tech. U.) ; Linda Vickovic
In the upcoming High-Luminosity (HL) phase of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the rates of proton-proton collisions will increase significantly, resulting in a substantial amount of data, including soft collisions or pile-up (PU). This study develops an algorithm for real-time selection of significant collision data in the Level 1 Trigger (L1T) system for the High Granularity Calorimeter (HGCAL) in the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector upgraded for the HL era. To conduct multi-class selection based on four types of data - electromagnetic showers (EM), PU, quantum chromodynamics (QCD) jets, and single pions, two machine learning architectures are explored: Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Multi-Layer Perceptrons (MLP). [...]
