Bo Ilsoe hat dies repostetBo Ilsoe hat dies repostetBuilding a warship takes hundreds of processes. These include blasting, grinding, coating, surface preparation, and inspection to name a few. Today we are announcing $900M production agreements over seven years among GrayMatter Robotics, HII, and Path Robotics under the HYPR program, covering the full spectrum of fabrication for aircraft carriers, submarines, destroyers, amphibious ships, future frigates, and unmanned surface vessels. We will deploy Factory SuperIntelligence across various fabrication processes and then integrate them into an autonomous production line qualified to Navy standards. It is a hardware-agnostic intelligence layer that handles the complexity, mix, and scale that have kept shipbuilding manual for a century. The Navy needs more ships. America needs more industrial capacity. HYPR is the wedge for both. Kudos to the teams and their tireless work to future-proof our national security and national economy. Let's build.

Bo Ilsoe hat dies repostetBo Ilsoe hat dies repostetI've been on GLP-1 for over a year. It's time to talk about it. I'm sharing my story because GLP-1s solve one problem but can create another: muscle loss. That's a problem our industry is uniquely equipped to solve. This is where fitness meets healthcare – not in theory, but in practice. Knowing this risk, I made myself the first case study, combining a low-dose protocol with meal planning (high protein intake) and data-driven strength training. My goal was simple: lose fat while preserving the muscle I'd built over years of training. The results so far (under professional supervision): ✅ I've lost 24 kg since Jan 2025. ✅ 23 kg of that was fat. Only 1 kg was muscle tissue. ✅ My glucose curve also stabilized noticeably during CGM phases. These personal results are precisely why we're now moving from an n=1 experiment to a formal clinical study. To lead with data, we are partnering with the Technical University of Munich on a clinical study starting in June. Its goal: to scientifically validate smart strength-powered, minimal-effective-dose training protocols that preserve muscle mass during GLP-1 usage. This is the first of a short series. To make it as valuable as possible, what should I focus on next: My training protocol, nutrition strategy, or the setup of our clinical study? (Personal experience only, not medical advice. Bo Ilsoe hat dies repostetBo Ilsoe hat dies repostetFor the first time anywhere in the world, a health insurer is covering a menstrual cycle tracker. Women spend more on health than anyone, yet have the least support when it comes to managing their cycle. This partnership is changing that. SDK - Süddeutsche Krankenversicherung a. G., one of Germany’s largest private health insurers, will now give their members – and all their employees – access to Clue Plus at no extra cost, without having to seek it out. As countries around the world debate menstrual leave policies, SDK is making cycle health part of what they cover 🙌 Period tracking, conception, pregnancy, perimenopause – all of it deserves proper recognition in healthcare. This is what that looks like. Our CEO, Rhiannon White: “Women’s health is one of the most underserved categories in global healthcare, which is why Clue is building a network of partners across insurance, benefits, and financial services to change that. Partnering with SDK is a meaningful step in making that a reality, and we hope to see more insurers follow.” Menstrual health becomes mainstream when it's built into the platforms and benefits women already use, reaching millions who wouldn’t have found it otherwise. More of this to come. Bo Ilsoe hat dies repostetBo Ilsoe hat dies repostetIn 2009, becoming a founder was like building a time machine: so ambitious that it was actually kind of dumb. 🤷♂️ I had a PhD position locked in at ETH Zürich. Biochemistry and neuroscience. I spent my days in a lab studying the molecular mechanisms of learning and memory formation. And I had also just successfully completed my first three months with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), which felt exciting and prestigious. The financial crisis had just hit, the job market was terrible, and I had two great options. I was *very* lucky. So, I did what made the most sense: I walked away from all of it. Instead, I started GetYourGuide. My family thought I'd lost my mind. Here’s the truth: at the time, I couldn’t even picture where this would go. No vision of building a company with €1bn in revenue. No idea that 16 years later, travelers would book 33 million experiences alone on our platform. But two things mattered more than that uncertainty. I was obsessed with solving a problem I'd experienced firsthand: being stuck in a Beijing hotel room with no idea what the city could offer. And working with Tao and the founding team brought me pure joy every single day, even though those early days were absolute chaos. 💻 We literally had servers under our desks. Someone would trip over the power cord and the whole site would go offline. 📞 We routed customer service through Skype because it was the cheapest option. Calls came straight to our phones, and I'd wake up at 3AM to help customers book tours. 📚 We taught ourselves everything. How to use Photoshop. How to do online marketing. How to code. I became CEO because I was the worst coder on the team. My co-founders said: "Fine, you do everything else." Supplier acquisition, marketing, customer service, all of it. I had absolutely no clue what I was doing, but I learned so much in those early days and along the way. The early days are the most joyful part of building a company. You're figuring everything out. It's scrappy and chaotic and uncertain, and you have so much opportunity ahead of you. What gets you through? Conviction. And that's the magic of building something new. Every time I meet the next generation of founders, I get goosebumps. Because I remember exactly what that feels like and I want them to hold onto it. I made a crazy choice to be an entrepreneur in 2009. Still, the best decision I ever made.

Today we opened the doors to our new satellite manufacturing facility, joined by Congressman Kevin Mullin, Stuart Riley from Trimble Inc. and partners across the space and technology ecosystem. From this facility, we’ll produce and deploy a constellation of 250+ American-made satellites over the next five years—at a total cost lower than a single traditional GPS satellite on orbit today. As Congressman Mullin put it: “Because if we don’t build these systems here, they will be built somewhere else. And we will be living on infrastructure defined by others.” We’re building it here.

While the hardware itself is stunning, the real magic is the connectivity that keeps the community informed and safe, no matter where the flight path takes them. ⌚ 🛰️ At Skylo, we are thrilled to support Garmin’s mission to enable best-in-class connectivity on its devices. This new launch is a testament to what happens when cutting-edge aviation heritage meets the next generation of satellite-enabled safety. The Garmin D2 Mach 2 Pro uses Skylo’s commercially available satellite network service. This service allows users to connect with the Garmin Response emergency coordination center to send and receive text messages about the nature of the emergency, and automatically share GPS location data to assist in the response effort. Users can also send text messages directly from their D2 Mach 2 Pro to friends, family, and other contacts, or alternatively, via the Garmin Messenger application running on a paired smartphone.

Bo Ilsoe gefällt dasBo Ilsoe gefällt dasLast week, I launched our 2027+ Strategy, setting the course for GetYourGuide's next chapter in front of all 1,000+ employees, spanning from Bangkok to Berlin to New York City, and every hub in between. Standing on stage, I could really sense the energy and drive of our team, the desire to contribute in each and every one of their roles. As we start this week, I'm already seeing it in action. Energy like this isn't accidental. We've been building toward this moment for months, with intense weeks of hard debates and even harder decisions. We previewed the strategy at our leadership offsite in Austria in late July and, right before the company launch, shared it with our Board of Directors in New York City. But everything came together in that room last week. I opened not with a slide about growth targets, but with a photo of my mom. My entire family are huge fans of Japan, but I was the only one who had ever been. So for my mom's 70th birthday, we skipped the KitchenAid she’d been after in lieu of a trip of a lifetime. My family and I are very close, but it’s hard to spend meaningful time with everything that’s going on in our lives. That trip in May connected us more deeply with each other and reminded us that there are always experiences to be had and created together. This is the same thing we're building toward at scale. Beyond just leading the experiences category, we're setting out to define it, becoming what people picture when they hear the word 'experiences.' That’s no easy task, especially considering how these days it can often feel like the ground is shifting beneath our feet as tech and consumer expectations evolve at rapid pace. But regardless of external factors, I believe we have a chance to become that category-defining company. And the reason why I believe we’ll get there, is not because of a strategy or feature. We’ll get there because of our culture. The quality of thinking, ambition, and energy I felt last week, and in the months leading up to it, is the best I've experienced in 17 years of building this company. It simply can’t be replicated. The next chapter starts now. We'll make it count. 🚀

Bo Ilsoe gefällt dasBo Ilsoe gefällt dasAs I’ve watched the AI ecosystem rapidly evolve over the past few years, my conviction has centered on this: infrastructure is becoming the ultimate force multiplier for scaling the next generation of AI companies. That realization is what drew me to Google. I believe few companies are better positioned to help founders build and scale AI across the full stack, from custom silicon and cloud infrastructure to frontier models and secure, enterprise-grade agentic environments. With that, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined the Google Cloud Investor Ecosystem team here in New York City! 🗽 We are in the middle of a once-in-a-generation platform shift, and I’m looking forward to operating at the intersection of venture capital, cloud infrastructure, and startups. During my time as an investor, I learned how to identify promising startups and capitalize them for growth. But capital is only one side of the equation. Now, I’m excited to bring the resources, deep technical expertise, and ecosystem support of Google to help founders turn early promise into enduring companies. If you’re a VC investing in or a founder building at the frontier of AI, especially across robotics, manufacturing, and defense, let’s connect! #Noogler #LifeAtGoogle #GoogleCloud #Startups #VentureCapital

What strikes me most in this chart is how irrelevant the % growth column on the right actually is. That’s a Mickey Mouse curve — small bases producing big percentages. The real story sits on the left: absolute GDP-per-capita gains that actually reshape the landscape. Liechtenstein, Ireland, Singapore, the U.S., Switzerland — these aren’t statistical blips, they’re structural shifts driven by currency strength, tax architecture, tech concentration, and post-pandemic economic design. If we want to understand where global wealth is really moving, we should stop staring at percentage fireworks and start looking at where the absolute dollar gravity is forming. That’s where the next decade will be written.

At the crossroads of capital and culture — insights from the CultTech Investment Panel in Vienna At the CultTech Association Summit in Vienna, the investment panel — moderated by Severin Zugmayer of New Renaissance Ventures — brought together an unusually sharp mix of investors and operators: Sitar Teli (Connect Ventures), Charlotte Dryander (Sirius), and Michael Jacobsen (Abu Dhabi Department of Culture & Tourism). The discussion revealed a paradox at the heart of cultural innovation: the cultural & creative industries are vast but deeply fragmented — from museums and music to design and performing arts — and that very fragmentation often keeps traditional investors on the sidelines. Sitar Teli noted that “the internet works best when it can aggregate fragmented markets — culture resists that.” Charlotte Dryander showed how AI can start to bridge that divide by scaling one-to-one learning, while Michael Jacobsen reminded the room that culture remains an asset class of emotion — one that demands both private capital and public stewardship. At Insiber.com, part of Cohort 6 of the Culttech Accelerator, this is precisely the space we operate in. Our CyberControl platform helps cultural and creative organisations understand, control and insure their cyber risk — bringing structure, transparency, and resilience to one of the world’s most fragmented yet vital sectors. It might sound technical, even a little boring — but as the recent Louvre theft showed, having the right protection in place can be nothing short of a lifesaving asset for any institution of culture. We are there to make sure it will be available to all of them. #CultTech #CreativeEconomy #VentureCapital #AI #CyberResilience #Insiber #Vienna #CultureTech
