How To Create Gel Print Collage Birds
Not sure how to go about using your gel prints for collage? Here's how Gelli Arts® artist Birgit Koopsen does it to create paper birds: Use carbon paper to trace the outlines of all the elements, starting with the complete bird as a base. Lay the paper right side down with the carbon paper on top so you won’t see the tracing lines on the final project. This original tree of love wall art features a tree in multicolor over a sparkly background of silver over black, with a pewter colored frame. It measures 12x12". Each tree has been painted, sculpted and assembled on wood. Each "leaf" circle is individually sculpted, hand painted, and adorned with found objects including nuts, bolts, crystals, skeleton keys, beads and many other items. Each tree is coated in resin which permanently embeds the objects and also provides a glassy appearance.
