Botanical tulip

In areas of the Mideast, you can still find the white star-shape blooms of Tulipa turkestanica in the wild. The slender 12-inch-tall stems appear above narrow blue-green leaves in early- to midspring.

Small and delicate, award-winning Tulipa whittallii is a real delight in the garden with its glowing, starry flowers opening to expose their heart in full sun! Quite short, this gem still makes a striking impact with its lovely color combination: blood orange petals blotched with a dark olive base. A beautiful sight! Flowering in mid-late spring, this tulip grows up to 8-12 inches tall (20-30 cm) and naturalizes easily.

Adds appealing contrast and color! Tulip 'Sweet Lady' is short but highly visible with its soft peach-blossom-pink petals and yellow-tinged bronze base atop handsomely mottled leaves. The flowers, large in proportion to the plant's total height, up to 4 in. wide (10 cm), open wide in the full sun.
