I bought these poppies yesterday because I thought they would be a good subject for practicing my lighting. They were cheap and willing subjects, and we can't go to the Grand Canyon every day. I particularly wanted backlighting with these flowers, so I put a bare YN560-II behind and to the right at about 1 o'clock, a Strobie 130 in a softbox camera left and behind at 11 o'clock and for fill lighting I used a YN560 in a softbox camera right, in front, at 4 o'clock.
