The American Crazy Quilt Exhibit at the Baltimore Museum of Art has sadly ended, but I (Teri) had many more pictures from my visit that I wanted to share. When I was a little girl my mother had several Hummel Figurines sitting on shelves as decorations in our home. Because of their delicate nature, I was not allowed to touch them, so I spent many hours staring at the porcelain details. This is what I have done so far on block number six of my Victorian Fan Quilt. I have worked a spray of spider web roses and buds,with gold bead highlights and then finished the spray off with a gorgeous gold bow charm.

This crazy quilt is really something. It has such happy colors, all emphasized by a myriad of embellishment techniques which include loads of beading and some sequins, too. It's one of the happiest quilts I've seen. Lots of photos and a family story are on my blog.
