Halloween Treats (by Asha)

Hello again, friends! I've got a couple of projects ideas to house your Halloween treats.  The first is in the shape of a grave - complete with tombstone and grassy border! The main design is the Bat-Owl from Hocus Pocus, coloured with Faber-Castell polychromos. The web and mushrooms are from Put A Spell On You. The Trick or Treat sentiment is from Spookilicious.

Here's a closer look at the Bat-Owl. After colouring, I fussy cut and adhered it to the headstone.

The second treat bag is a simpler affair. The Cat is from Hocus Pocus, heat embossed in black, inked the edges and matted on die-cuts. The sentiment is from Halloween Edges. To finish, black baker's twine to tie the box.

That's all from me today. The rest of the Design Team have a few more projects lined up over the next week. Don't forget to drop by again soon. In the meantime, I have more pictures and details of supplies used to make these boxes over at my blog.

Have an awesome day!

When Ghouls Come Out To Play (by Asha)

Ghoul Morning, friends! It's almost that time of the year .... when ghouls come out to play. I have a couple of easy projects for you. All you have to do is ink and stamp - that's it. I also want to show you how well Chocolate Baroque's older Halloween stamps coordinate with the latest release.

My first card depicts a dark and creepy night where ghosts wander in the mist. I inked up the background with Distress Inks. The trio of ghosts in the foreground are from the new Put A Spell On You A5 sheet, which I heat embossed on vellum. The ghosts in the background is heat embossed directly on the card. The trees and greeting are from the new Hocus Pocus A5 sheet. The clouds and the single bat are from the older Spookilicious A5 sheet.

The second card is slight more "cheery" ... on account of a few smiling pumpkins. Again, I inked the background with Distress Inks and masked the moon. The pumpkins on the ground and the spider are from the new Put A Spell On You A5 sheet. I coloured the pumpkins with Faber-Castell Polychromos. You could even paper-piece these pumpkins and speed up the process. The flying bats and crow are from the new Hocus Pocus A5 sheet. The scarecrow is from an older A5 sheet called Witching Time. These stamps work so well together!

I hope you enjoyed these cards and will try making them. Be sure to stop by often for more frightfully fabulous projects from the rest of the Design Team. As always, a full description of products and tools will be available from my blog.

Spooky Nights (by Asha)

Good morning, everyone. Halloween is just a week away and what better time to share with you a couple of spooky makes featuring stamps from the new Things That Go Bump A5 sheet. Both cards are quick and easy projects with heat embossing and Distress Inks.

I heat embossed the spooky tree from Things That Go Bump with black EP and created the background by blending Distress Inks. Next I stamped a greeting from the Spookylicious A5 sheet and added a few purple rhinestones. The mushrooms in the foreground are from Things That Go Bump. To finish, I added a little colour to the caps to make them pop.  That's it!

My second project is an easel card showcasing the haunted castle from Things That Go Bump and the pumpkin from Halloween Edges. Both have been heat embossed with black EP. As before, I inked up the background with Distress Inks. To finish, I stitched the sentiment which was stamped onto a strip of vellum. Another super simple card done.

I hope these cards ideas will help you with your last minute Halloween cards. I'll post details of the products used on my blog. In the meantime, make sure you drop by the Design Team blog regularly for more wonderful creations by my team-mates... and yes, they are spine-chillingly good!

Book Of Spells and Halloween Edges - By Florence

Hi everyone

I hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

Today I would like to share two cards made using the new fabulous Book of Spells and the Halloween Edges sets of stamps.  These are just two of the newly released sets by Chocolate Baroque.  To see all of the new sets please click HERE.

I was really excited when I first saw these sets.  Although they are for Halloween, Fall, or Autumn, there are many stamps in the sets that can be used all year round.  They are really versatile and also mix and match with the other stamps in Chocolate Baroque's huge range of rubber art stamps HERE.

For my first card I used the Book of Spells set.

I took a piece of dull pink card and sprayed it with a pink Dylusions Spray Ink to add more life to it.  When it was dry I trimmed it to size and stamped the Cob Webs.

For the main focal piece I used a pre-made background card which I made using water color paints on an acrylic block.  I then just stamped the Spooky House onto this and added a couple of flying bats from Spookylicious and Witching Time

I made up the card as seen picking out the blue on my inky background card and using this color as one of the mats.

What did strike me immediately with this Spooky House stamp is the amount of detail on the image.  The ghosts in the windows, the owl in the tree, the weather vane, the bird on the roof and the little pumpkin hanging from the house.  A really brilliant design yet again by Sue.

For my second card I have used the Halloween Edges and a piece of the same background card as above.  I made this into a card but the beauty of the Edge Stamps is that they are great for tags as well because of the size and length of the image.

I stamped my Happy Halloween sentiment onto my base card and added a couple of splash patterns using a tiny stamp from Wisteria Lane Set.

I trimmed my pre-made inky card (as mentioned above) to size and stamped the Pumpkin and Cob Web images.  I added just a little more orange color to the Pumpkins to make them stand out.

I made up the card as seen with the addition of one of my own background (Straw Bales) papers.

Do check out all of the wonderful projects made by the DT.
There is a new project, offering lots of inspiration and ideas, posted every day here on the blog.
Don't forget that if you leave a comment your name will go into the monthly comments draw.  One winner is randomly picked each month.

Thank you for looking.

Happy Stamping.

Sunflowers And A Raven (by Asha)

Good morning everybody! Today I have 2 projects to share with you - both made using the new Harlequin Fragments A4 stamp sheet.

For the first project, I lightly inked the background and stamped the large harlequin design with Distress inks. Next I coloured a couple of sunflowers and leaves from the Sunny Sunflowers A4 stamp sheet with alcohol markers. I fussy cut and adhered them with some foam tape. To finish: a couple of flat-back pearls and a greeting from the BirthdayWords A5 stamp sheet. A very quick and easy make.

For my second, project let's fast forward a few months to Halloween. This time I made a misty background with one of the stamps from the Harlequin Fragments A4 sheet. The spooky extras are from the Spookylicious A5 stamp sheet. I heat embossed the raven and moon using black embossing powder and fussy cut them. The sentiment is stamped on vellum and adhered to the card with clear drying glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. Make sure you drop by regularly to see more inspirational work from the rest of the Design Team. In the meantime, start inking your new stamp sets!
