Chamet

Chamet is a live social video and voice platform that allows you to meet new people and cross geographical barriers from the comfort of your own home. Chamet is designed for you to socialize in large virtual party rooms. Here you can chat face-to-face with people from around the world or show off your musical talents and dance performances if you decide to go live.

Party rooms and group chats

The main way to socialize with people is through party rooms. In these public rooms, you can join a group video call where up to five people interact simultaneously on camera. If you are shy or don't feel like showing your face that day, you can join one of the rooms exlusively for voice chat only. To break the ice and avoid awkward silences in the first few minutes, these rooms include small interactive minigames that you can play with the other participants while you chat.

Live challenges and virtual gifts

If you like being the center of attention, you can open your own individual broadcast room to share your hobbies with the community. During your live streams, you can invite other creators to do a "PK challenge," a fun, friendly challenge where the loser has to complete a small punishment on screen. As you stream, viewers who enjoy your content can send you virtual gifts with eye-catching animations. These gifts are not just visual, they are part of the platform's internal economy and help you gain popularity to earn exclusive medals and special entry effects for your profile.

Automatic translation

One of the biggest fears when speaking with people from other countries is not understanding what they have to say. The app works around this issue thanks to the integration of a real-time simultaneous translation engine. When in a room with users who speak English, French, Russian, or Arabic, the system automatically translates their text messages into your language.

Beauty filters

To ensure you always look great on camera, Chamet features a comprehensive beauty editor that you can configure before entering any room. There are a ton of options to smooth out your skin, add interesting color filters, and put fun virtual stickers on your face that react to your movements. Additionally, to ensure the environment remains healthy and safe at all times, the system implements a rigorous facial verification process that guarantees you are interacting with real people and automatically blocks fake profiles attempting to join the community.

My experience with Chamet

The idea behind installing Chamet was to meet new people. As soon as I registered, I joined a group party room where three people were talking about music. At first, I joined with just my microphone on to see what they were talking about, but when I felt the good vibes flow, I decided to turn on my camera and try out a couple of beauty filters. After that, I started browsing the live section and saw a girl playing the guitar, and I sent her a small animated gift in the shape of a rose, and she thanked me live. Then I tried machine translation while chatting via text with a guy from Russia, and I was surprised by how quickly and reliably it translated our respective parts of the conversation so that we could understand each other without any problems.

What I liked most about Chamet and what could be improved

· What I liked most: The built-in real-time translator works like a charm and the voice rooms are great for meeting people if you don't feel like turning on the camera.

· What could be improved: Most virtual gifts are paid, so interacting with content creators in a way that will get you noticed requires investing real money.
