Space Force

Hi everyone!

I'm sharing a card today that I made for our son-in-law in the Army. He was appointed to the new Space Force, and we needed to give him a shout out!

It's a fun fold that I found on Pinterest 'someplace'.

I'm entering this in the May challenge at Scor-Pal. I used 1/4" and 1/2" Scor-Tape, and of course my Scor-Pal!!!

Whew....getting in JUST in time!

Have a great Sunday night, and a wonderful new week!!!

Hugs,
Patti J.

A few cards to share...

Howdy, folks!

So, I have a few cards to share today that we needed 'just because'.  We just mailed out 96 cards to people in our church, and elsewhere, that we were thinking about with this awful virus going around. Sadly, we also lost a family member last week, and I needed some sympathy cards.

Here are a few of the cards that I made.

I'm entering this in the Scor-Pal challenge this month. The theme is 'Flowers', and of course, more than one fold.

And here are a few more...

These first two use stamps from Stanpin'Up.

And these two use a gorgeous set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
I'm going to enter them in the April challenge in the Sweet 'n Sassy VIP Facebook Group - the challenge is to use pastel colors. I sponged with some pastel colors, then stamped the image repeatedly. On both cards, I had a major OOPS after the card was entirely finished, so I quickly added some birds from my stash.

That's it for today!
Hope your weekend is wonderful - it's a lovely day here in MO!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Scor-Pal Challenge Reminder!

Hello there, everyone!

It's mid-way through the month, so here is your reminder about the monthly challenge at Scor-Pal, and the theme is Any December Holiday, and of course, more than one fold.

I was just checking out the blog, and there are only 8 entries, so get your projects in - you might be the monthly winner (we need ten entries to give a prize!)

Here was my project this month.

For instructions, see my original post HERE.

Sadly, this is my last month with Scor-Pal. They are wonderful to work with/for - if you ever get a chance to answer a DT call, do so! Unfortunately, my 'plate' was getting too full, and with an upcoming new commitment in February, I felt the need to let some things go. There are just not enough hours in the day!

Thanks to Katie, Diana, and the entire group at Scor-Pal. I had a wonderful 2.5 years of creating with great products, and an insanely talented design team!

There's lots of inspiration in the Projects section of the Scor-Pal website and also on the Pinterest Board to help you get creative!

Thanks for stopping by, and as always, Happy Scoring!

Holiday Decorating with Scor-Pal

Hello there, everyone!

It's time for a new monthly challenge at Scor-Pal, and the theme is Any December Holiday, and of course, more than one fold.

I created a fun fold home decor item this month.

For my project, I used: Scor-Pal Eighths, and Scor-Tape 1/4".

Here's what I made:

This was created using strips of cardstock, scored at 1/2". The ends overlap to create a circular piece, which makes the rosettes. As you can see in the next photo, there are some punched circles to act as spacers between each layer. Layer dimension included at bottom of post.

Layers:

Note: I scored my sheets of 12 x 12 before cutting into strips!

3 strips of 12" x 4"
3 strips of 12" x 3.75"
3 strips of 12" x 3.5"
3 strips of 12" x 3.25"
3 strips of 12" x 3"
2 strips of 12" x 2.75"
2 strips of 12" x 2.5"
2 strips of 12" x 2.25"
2 strips of 12" x 2"
2 strips of 12" x 1.75"
2 strips of 12" x 1.5"
1 strip of 22" x 1.25" (Join a 12" and 10" strip together)
1 strip of 18" x 1" (Join a 12" and 6" strip together)
1 strip of 12" x 3/4"

We have a ton of inspiration in the Projects section of the Scor-Pal website and also on our Pinterest Board to help you get creative!

We hope to see your creations for Harvest or Fall in our 'More Than One Fold', Scor-Pal challenge!

Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Scoring!

Scor-Pal....Birthday, Family Celebration, etc.

Hello there, everyone!

This is my second post today. If you are looking for my 2 Crafty Critter Crazies post, just scroll up (down?)!

It's time for a new monthly challenge at Scor-Pal, and the theme is Birthday or Family Celebration (Thanks, Christmas, etc.), and of course, more than one fold.

I created a fun fold card this month.

For my project, I used: Scor-Pal Eighths, and Scor-Tape 1/4".

Here's what I made:

This shows the card fully closed (sorry about the ugly clothespins!)

Popped off the clothespins...

Opened the card...

View from the top...

The base is 5.5" x 8.5" scored in half to create an A2 card.

The white insert is 5.5" x 6.5".
With the 6.5" side at the top of Scor-Pal, score at 1/2", 2.5", and 4.5".

Burnish score lines, stamp and/or add paper to the card as shown, and add your adhesive onto the front edge of the 1/2" line.

Assemble as shown.

For my focal piece on the front, I cut out two varied sized circles, and another circle from the patterned paper that is on the inside panel.

Pretty simple, except that I couldn't get the adhesive to stop at the right places on my card front, so I just used the adhesive on the entire strip, and added glitter to the cut out section of the large circle.

I couldn't find any written or video instructions for this card - just had an old, old photo that I had printed and stuck in a drawer a few years ago.  You might come up with a better recipe than I have!

We have a ton of inspiration in the Projects section of the Scor-Pal website and also on our Pinterest Board to help you get creative!

We hope to see your creations for Harvest or Fall in our 'More Than One Fold', Scor-Pal challenge!

Happy Scoring!

Scor-Pal - Harvest or Fall Creation

Hello there, everyone!

This is my second post today. If you are looking for my 2 Crafty Critter Crazies post, just scroll up (down?)!
It's time for a new monthly challenge at Scor-Pal, and the theme is Harvest or Fall, and of course, more than one fold.

I created these easy Merci candy holders for a group of ladies at church. They seemed delighted with them - who among us can resist chocolate?

For my project, I used: Scor-Pal Eighths, and Scor-Tape 1/4".

Here's what I made:

These were pretty simple - the strip of cardstock is cut to 2" x 9.5"
Score this at 3.25", 3.75", 7", and 7.5".

As shown in the photo, on the longest section, punch a hole for the candy to go through, and put a strip of scor-tape at the top edge. Fold it up and adhere it down. Ta-da! Decorate front as desired!  Mine was simply decorated in fall colors. The stamp on the inside says 'Bless You'.

We also have a ton of inspiration in the Projects section of the Scor-Pal website and also on our Pinterest Board to help you get creative!

We hope to see your creations for Harvest or Fall in our 'More Than One Fold', Scor-Pal challenge!

Scor-Pal Pinspired

Hi everyone!
I'm the Pinspired hostess this month on the Scor-Pal blog. I found a really cute box that holds three nugget candies, and thought it would be fun for Halloween treats.  Here is Gloria's post that 'Pinspired' me:

I linked this photo to Gloria's post, so if you click on the photo, it will take you there.

Here are MY finished boxes:

These were pretty easy to do, and I hope that you give them a try!
I used my Scor-Pal Eighths, 1/4" Scor-tape, and 1/2" Scor-tape for this project.

Here we go....

Cut cardstock to 5 1/4" x 6"

On the 6" side, score at 3/4", 1 1/2", 4 1/2", and 5 1/4".

On the 5 1/4" side, score at 3/4", 2 1/4", 3", and 4 1/2"

Following this diagram, cut out all of the pieces that are marked with an X.

Your cardstock now looks like this:

Round the top two corners, and burnish all fold lines

On this side, add Scor-tape to the two side flaps (only the outermost flap, as shown).

Flip your box over, and add Scor-tape to the four tabs*.

Peel and remove protective piect from your tabs, fold them inwards, and bring your side flaps up.

Now, remove the protective cover from your side flaps and press them firmly to the inside of the box.

Your box flap should fold in and stay closed nice and firmly.

Here is the finished box.

*The one thing that I did on my finished boxes, was the punch a small 1/2 circle from the front edge of the box, to make a place for your thumb to lift the box flap.  You definitely want to do this prior to adhering your box together!  Here is a close up photo, so you can see the little half circle.

We hope you will give this a try!

That's it!  I made all of these boxes in one evening, and you can too!
Thanks to Gloria for some great 'Pinspiration'!

I hope you'll give this box a try. Don't forget, you still have time to enter the Monthly challenge at Scor-Pal!

Thanks for stopping by,

Patti J.

Scor-Pal Challenge - Back to School

Hello there, everyone!

This is my second post today. If you are looking for my 2 Crafty Critter Crazies post, just scroll up!
It's time for a new monthly challenge at Scor-Pal, and the theme is Back to School, and of course, more than one fold.

I created a fun back to school set, and am eager to show it to you. So, here we go!
I used a fun digi stamp, School Girl Sally, from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps for my card front - isn't this little student the sweetest? Since our oldest grandchild starts Kindergarten this year, it was fitting that she get this card!

For my project, I used: Scor-Pal Eighths, and Scor-Tape 1/4".

Here is the set...

Here we have the card, and three sweet little post-it holders for the mini post it pads. I just measured the width and length of the post it pads, added a bit for a decorative punch, and voila! I think they ended up being 2" x 5", scoring on the 5" side at 1.25", 1 5/8", 3.25", and 3 5/8".

The wraps are open in this photo so you can see the post-it pads

You can see how the card opens at the bottom, with a cute magnet to hold the flap closed...

and then at the top, so you have a place to write your own note!

Scor-Pal Challenge - Stylish Storage

Hello, everyone!

August is already upon us, and soon the kids will be going back to school - egads! Time sure flies when you are having fun!

This is my second post today. If you are looking for my 2 Crafty Critter Crazies post, just scroll up!
The monthly challenge at Scor-Pal, is Stylish Storage (pen holder, utensil carrier, etc), and Katie Tate is our challenge hostess. Of course, our projects must include more than one fold.

I created a fun collection of boxes within a box, and I hope you like it as much as I do! I am amazed at how much I can get into this organizational system.

For my project, I used: Scor-Pal Eighths, Scor-Tape 1.2", and Scor-Tape 1/4".

Here is the box...

Another view...

One more view...

Here's where they are all individual boxes! Pretty cool, right?

Crazy fun, right? Now...I wish I could take full credit for this amazing design, but I can't. Sam Hammond (Pootles) designed this, and you can watch her instructional video HERE.

We hope to see your creations this month our 'More Than One Fold', Scor-Pal challenge!

Just a friendly reminder...

Hey ya'll...!
Just a friendly reminder that we have a challenge going on at the Scor-Pal blog!

We'd really like to give someone some shopping excitement this month, but we have to have 10 participants to have a winner. So.....we need your entries! I just looked, and so far, there are only 2 entries.

The challenge is easy! It's Anything Goes with more than one fold, and you can add patriotic colors if you would like to. You have until the end of the month to create something with more than one fold!  You can create a fancy box with a dozen folds, or a gatefold card with 2 folds!

Here was my project this month:

Hope to see your project posted at the Scor-Pal blog!!!

Have fun creating, and Happy Scoring!

The monthly challenge at Scor-Pal, is Anything Goes, with an option of patriotic, and of course, more than one fold.

I created a darling gift box, and it was completed and photographed before I remembered the Patriotic twist to this challenge. It would have been pretty cute in red, white, and blue!

For my project, I used: Scor-Pal Eighths, and Scor-Tape 1/4".

Here is the box...
