about

I've long been a space exploration enthusiast, at least following the popular news on the latest. This is, of course, a fictional take on these efforts in the future, with a bit of humor along the way.

The story.....

Set very far into the future, after countries more objectively concerned about the earth finally realize and fully harness and mobilize the power of nuclear fusion, humans begin the first human-controlled voyage to the TRAPPIST system.

Missions with robotics-controlled space vessels, terrestrial vehicles, and scientific instruments had, long ago, already been employed to explore the TRAPPIST system. The results of those now ancient missions had determined that TRAPPIST 1-e was most fit to support the survival of the human race.

Along the way, unexpected obstacles and detours take the Japanese/Sudanese-built interstellar, nuclear fusion powered space vessel on a path to Alpha Centauri and the Indus system.

One such obstacle is a mammoth space being living in the Oort Cloud, which throws the vessel off course.

Much later on, once the vessel is on a path to TRAPPIST, they encounter maybe the strangest space anomaly of all....

After regaining a sense of a sane mission, the reactor then begins a slowly building incorrect control loop. To be coninued......
