Recorded over 3 separate sessions and presented in a continuous 'mixtape' format, Shiver's long awaited fourth Ep comprises one, epic 40-minute track titled 'I Need You To Focus'.
The material is formed from edited improvisations on which the band experimented with various methods of looping, electronics and vocal textures. Some sections appear exactly as they were played, others are twisted assemblages culled from outtakes and accidents.
This densely orchestrated and diverse music has a simplicity to it which carries the listener through. The guitar soars, the bass brings momentum and melody and the drums hit hard.
Crank it up on the stereo for satisfaction, throw on the headphones for detail and surprises.
'Masterful use of textural sounds artfully smeared around the stereo image via finely tuned post production - an undulating 40 minute triptych that is disorienting and refreshing in equal measure'
Un petit groupe qui se butte pour la passion et ça se ressens. Par contre, c'est bien chelou donc tout le monde n'aimera pas. Moi j'aime bien ;) Varkarg

Mike Osborne was a very special musician...I remember him as quietly intense and thoughtful and not a seeker of the limelight...I must have seen him play dozens of times in many small venues from ‘68 to ‘75 or so...I loved his playing...a high end technician but full of heart as well as head...I still listen to his music a lot on the original vinyl and i’m so pleased this gig has surfaced.
Hugh respect to Jazz In Britain for their whole initiative...you have made an old man very happy... John Cratchley
