Sunday Sketch with Desiree Lamar

Hey CTK friends! Today I am here to share my take on this week's sketch challenge with the gorgeous Cherish Mini-Kit.

Let's take a look at the lovely sketch.

I'm a sucker for layering so I could not wait to give this sketch a try.

I started by backing my white cardstock on floral paper. Then I chose this soft yellow-lined patterned paper from the Cherish Traveler's Notebook Digital Papers that would not compete with the large cluster.

Then I added a pretty, pink, floral journal card from the Cherish Digital Journals Cards. After layering my photos on each side of the card, I used this pink doily from the Cherish Die Cut Ephemera. Once I typed my journaling on vellum, I placed it on the doily.

I layered in the florals from the Cherish Die Cut Ephemera to help create balance in this large cluster. Then placed the Cherish Puffy Word, Phrase, and Number Stickers and Cherish Heart Stickers throughout the layout.

I used the Sadie Teal Green Alpha Stickers to create my title. I love how perfectly the alpha colors match the rest of the design. To complete the layout, I splattered pink, yellow, and blue ink throughout the page.

Thank you for following along on today's sketch. I hope you find some time to be crafty.

Sunday Sketch with Patricia

Hello Friends!  Today I have a Sunday Sketch and inspiration to share with you today.  Excited to use the CTK exclusive releases, the Warm Wishes add-on kit, and stamps.

Inspiring sketch, isn't it!  I decided to turn the sketch and do a favorite traditional scrapbooking size of 8.5x11.  My base is solid white cardstock and I added an emphasis of color and texture using the November die cuts and papers from the Warm Wishes kit on the edge, trimming any excess.  Next, I focused on the center of my layout, using inspiration from the sketch by printing a main photo and then used the Flea Market Chipboard Frames.

So with the photo and the chipboard frames inspired by the sketch in place, the rest of my layout fell into place by gaining inspiration from it.  The die cuts and pattern paper in the edge of my layout are inspired by the layering.  I added additional texture using the new November Changing Seasons Puffy Stickers

For my title, I used a punched circle from Warm Wishes pattern paper, the Bailey Thick and Thin Stamp set, and the gorgeous circle puffy alpha stickers from the Warm Wishes add-on kit!

I finished the layout with more of the November Changing Seasons Puffy Stickers.

I always love the CTK Sunday Sketches and how they inspire me.  Hope this inspires you as well!  Have fun creating!

Sunday sketch / Marivi

Happy Sunday!
Today I show you a new challenge and this is the sketch.

For this design I have used an Add-on Kit, which in addition to the latest Crate Paper collection, includes some vintage elements such as book sheets and ribbons that I love.

It is a design of layers of paper, a pink paper and on top one of the book sheets. I have sewn a strip of paper with a wood motif and on top an ephemera card and finally the photo.

In the photo I have sewn an ephemera with a stamp motif and underneath a vellum flower and a golden sticker in the shape of leaves.

With the strip of paper I have also sewn a piece of lace and underneath the sewn a butterfly appears with a sticker in the shape of a corsage.

I have placed the title on the upper part that I have also sewn and as a small detail a bee.

I hope you like it and are encouraged to participate in the challenge.

Sunday Sketch with Sheree

Hello friends!

It’s Sheree here and today I have our Sunday Sketch to share with you all. Let’s take a look at today’s page design…

I really liked that this sketch was in the 8.5”x 11” size as it’s a format I enjoy working with so I stuck with it and followed it fairly closely.  Here’s the layout I came up with featuring the gorgeous August 2020 Scrapbooking Add-on Kit

I cut my white cardstock background to size and added a strip of the yellow patterned paper to the top and bottom, then layered a small strip of the hearts paper onto the right side of the bottom strip.  Machine stitching was added then I started work on the photo section.

I decided on the blue paper to go in behind the photo and tag, then matted the photo with the yellow and hearts papers. I adhered the matted photo into place and added more stitching. I tucked some messy thread in behind the top right corner of the photo, then added a chipboard flair and puffy camera sticker from the Scrapbooking Add-on Kit along with a chipboard arrow from the August Life Crafted Kit to the right side of the photo.

The camera tag was cut from one of the papers in the add-on kit to use to the left of the photo.  I punched a hole at the top, added some twine then adhered it into place.  Under the tag is another chipboard piece from the August Life Crafted Kit with a stamped phrase from the August 2020 This Is Life “Stories” Stamp Set layered on top.

At the top left of the page I stamped the phrase “funny story” from the August 2020 Life Crafted Traveler’s Notebook Stamp Set.  The title and journaling were added underneath then I stitched along each journaling strip.  To finish the page I added some tiny puffy stars around the layout.

You can see my process in the video below...

This sketch was so quick and easy to work with!  I hope you’ll have a go at it too!

Thanks so much for joining me on the blog today!

Sunday Sketch with Marivi

Hi everyone,

Today I bring a layout for which I have used April 2020 Scrapbooking Add-on kit.
I have placed the photo on top of two sewn papers and I have adorned it with various ephemera details, puffy stickers and splashes.

At the bottom I have sewn two different strips of paper to finish.

The title this time is small, a label.

In this detail you can see that I have also sewn the background paper.Sometimes I like to leave the excess thread as an ornament, I don't cut it.

You can see a quick video on how i put this together as follows:

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon.

Sunday Sketch with Sheree

Hi everyone!

I’m so happy to be here on the blog today to share the Sunday Sketch with you!  I love working with sketches and this has to be one of my favourites yet!  Let’s take a look…

Here’s what I came up with using the gorgeous March “Weekender” Life Crafted Kit

Since I really liked the sketch I pretty much stuck to the basic design.  I decided on two inch square photos and matted each of them with the pretty teal paper from the kit.  I also chose white cardstock for the background so the colourful papers and embellishments would really pop.

Across the top of the page I positioned the first photo and added some messy machine stitching to the top left corner and a chipboard circle embellishment to the top right.   Next to this I have a strip of the yellow paper from the kit with a stamped sentiment from the new March2020 Life Crafted Traveler’s Notebook Stamp Set and a puffy heart sticker.  There is also ticket and phrase die cut embellishments grouped together which I also added some stitching to.

Across the middle of the layout I layered lots of the puffy heart stickers together in their own little cluster just like in the sketch…so fun!  The photo to the right has a line of stitching across the top for a little texture.

At the bottom section of the page is the third photo.  I added a die cut tab with another stamped sentiment from the same stamp set that I used earlier.  To the right I used the “Comments” die cut for the title and I absolutely love these letter stickers in the kit this month!  Underneath is one of the labels from the cut apart sheet.  I added more stitching and made my own little date tag from white cardstock, added some twine which was stapled into place and another puffy heart sticker was the final touch.

You can see my process in the video below...

I had so much fun working with this sketch and I hope I’ve inspired you to have a go at it too!

Thank you for joining me on the blog today!  I look forward to sharing more “Weekender” Kit projects with you soon.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Sunday Sketch with Anna

Hi dear CTK friends! Anna here with you today to share this weeks Sunday Sketch. This is my favorite challenge ( I know I say this every time but still true, lol!). I love to kick start my layouts using a sketch, makes everything so much easier. I've been playing with the fabulous February POSSIBILITIES Life Crafted Kit for this page and I stayed very close to the beautiful sketch.Though I cheated with my handwritten journaling using a few beautiful sentiment stamps from two of the February Add on sets, this and this one.

Well, let's have a look at this week's super inspiring sketch.
