Friday's PL Challenge | Kristel & Jennie

Hi all! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with lots of new special memories to keep.
Today I have a fun Project Life challenge for you which will hopefully give you lots of new ideas for your (Holiday) pages :-)

Since my photos are mainly white, my yellow coat is the first thing that pops up, so I thought it would be nice to use yellow as my main pop of color, combined with neutrals like white, beige, gray and black.

The Pocket Life kit has lots of different colors you can add to any page, so you mostly likely will always find a matching one :-)
But, you can also add your own little touch of color by stitching, for example.

As you can see here, I have stitched some plus signs onto a photo with black embroidery thread.
Don't worry about ruining your photo; just keep enough space in between your stitches and you can create any shape you want.

I also stitched around the diamond shaped label of this journaling card with some yellow embroidery thread; just to add a little more yellow onto this page :-)

My challenge for you is to recreate a page or spread like this by using:
- Only one accent-color; white, beige, gray and black are considered neutrals.
- Any form of stitching onto your photos and/or cards.

Something I always do, but it might not be something you are used to;
To add anything extra, you can print your photos with (small) white borders around them.

Read on to see some close ups and find out what Jennie did with her awesome spread! :-)

Have a crafty weekend and until next time!

Love, Kristel

Hi Everyone! This is Jennie and Kristel just served a challenge!
This one was a hard one for me, only ONE accent color! What? Me? The one that puts everything and the kitchen sink on her pages? Yep! The second challenge was way too fun, stitching! The last one was easy, white borders around the photos. Most of the time I print my 4x6 photos with borders because otherwise part of them get cut out.

This week I had lots of photos of random moments and things which reflects how chaotic and random is my life.

I love to use black and white photos specially when the quality is not very good. But sometimes they just look better.

This title card is very different from anything I've ever done but I was inspired by the layout of the card. I am crazy about these Puffy Alphas! I used stitching for the numbers. It's pretty addicting.

I used some foiled alphas from the October Pocket Life Kit. I always use some of the papers to cut tiny hearts so I can use around my layout.

I added a few stitches to give the illusion that they were holding some elements. Lately I've been cutting lots of photos in circles using dies.
Thanks for challenge Kristel! I hope you join! Share it with us at the Citrus Twist Facebook Fan Group

3 To Inspire with Jennie

Hey Friends! This is Jennie with today's 3 to Inspire!
My three prompts are:
1) Get inspired by the holidays.
2) Use pops of red.
3) Use handwriting. This one is my favorite. I love to see my mother and grandmother's handwriting and I'm sure my daughters would see mine. I also include my daughters' handwriting because they are still little and it keeps evolving.

For this post I chose to work on my December Daily. The Sonoma Pocket Life Kit has a few good bits that you can use on your December Daily. It also had good holiday colors like red, green and aqua. Inside the top right pocket I have a little magazine my Elf brought from the North Pole, This is the back of the magazine. Apparently Target is a big deal there too.

I love the balance in the journaling cards set. They have enough filler cards and enough journaling cards. The best thing about journaling cards is that a lot of them have lines which makes me feel better when I use my handwriting.

Of course I have to use the phrase "shenanigans afoot" when I talk about Charlotte! This day she wanted to go for a ride so the "going out" cork piece worked perfectly.

If you have a little gap on your December Daily you can document your holiday or season favorites! I'm not a big fan of Christmas Music but I like most of the songs from this CD so I decided to record it.

The puffy stickers from this month's kits are awesome! They come with lots of little sprinkles! I also used the stamp set on my date card.

I hope you enjoyed these little prompts. Show us what you've got at the Citrus Twist Kits Fan Page on Facebook

Kit Love

Hello! I's Mira Jurecka here and I have a Kit Love post for You today, which is all about December  "Sonoma" PL Kit.
First I'll show You the kit in details, and at the end You will see what I made with it!

Cards.
Although this is "December" kit, it is not about Christmas. You can simply document Your everyday life not depending on where You are in the calendar right now. Obviously the kit can support creating Your December album if You wish so!
The cards are bright, with a lot of space for journaling:

Papers.
These are exclusive Citrus Twist Kits 6x8 colorful papers that were included in the kit this month:

I especially love that flower pattern - I used it to create a few PL cards.

In the package You will also find two sets of exclusive puffy stickers - blue alpha-stickers and colorful words and shapes - perfect for project decorating!

I am impressed by these stickers, because they are really funny and help documenting not only happy moments but also some difficulties of life - like the one with thundercloud - isn't it great?

As always - in the pack You will also find great exclusive CTK stamps - these are perfect for documenting december moments, as they are about celebrating, home, the end of the year and the beginning of new year. Awesome.
And there is set of cork elements with words:

Another exclusive product that You will find in the kit is the set of paper die-cuts - awesome colors, both bright and pale, fun words, tags, labels and shapes. Look at this set of yellow emotikons - is't it cute?

I really love this month kit - for it's variety. I used it to document both seasons summer and fall - our honey moon and everyday moments from November. In both cases it wasn't difficult at all. The kit was just great!

Here's the summer:

Here - in this project I added a stickers packaging from December embellishment kit to create this card on the left:

I also made my December to do list in my traveler's journal using December "Sonoma" PL Kit:

And November moments from my album:

Here's the card that I made from this awesome paper with flower pattern:

In my projects I also used colorful word stickers from December Embelishment Kit, which I think add some nice final touches to my pocket pages, everything else is from PL Kit.

I hope You like this month's PL Kit and You will enjoy documenting Your awesome life with it!
Thank You for stopping by!
Have a great week!
