Open Post with Nikki Kehr
Hello Citrus Twist Kits Friends,
Nikki here, with a new Inspiration made with the beautiful June Kits. This time I take a combination of the Life Crafted Kit and Add On Kit.
The journaling card with the words "Happy Thoughts" caught my eye. I wanted it to be the center of the layout next to the photo. For this I tried to work tone on tone and set small highlights that round off the layout but do not distract.
I prefer to decorate with many different materials and sizes of embellishments. This creates a diversity and liveliness. I make sure that I pick up the main colors of the layout again and only set one or two accent colors. In this layout, the main color is purple and the accents are yellow and light blue.
Finally, I always find the right stamp and decorate the layout with small passages of text. Here I used the stamp set "Yes" in addition to the stamp set from the Life Crafted Kit.
I hope you enjoyed the little inspiration and motivated you to get creative yourself. I am glad that you stopped by and we will see us again soon.

Hello Citrus Twist Kits Friends,
Nikki here with a new inspiration for your Life Crafted Album using the May Life Crafted Kit "Journeys". So let´s get started.
I recorded my love for daisies on this double page. Even if we cannot go on vacation at the moment, we can treat ourselves to a vacation within our own four walls. Our grandmother's garden is a great help. There I can relax, watch the bumblebees and admire my beloved daisies. It was exactly this relaxed atmosphere that I really wanted to capture in our Life Crafted album. The current "Journeys" kit is perfect for this.
You can simply reinterpret the decolements. For example, the garden is always a beautiful sight for me and I always discover so much new. The flowers and trees grow. Depending on the season, there are different animals to watch. I can capture all of this with the decoration elements of the kit. What about you? What adventures do you discover in your own four walls?
I hope you enjoyed the little inspiration for your Life Crafted Album and motivated you to get creative yourself. I am glad that you stopped by and we will see us again soon.

3-to-inspire with Nikki
Hello Citrus Twist Kits Friends,
Nikki here with a new 3-to-inspire with the May Life Crafted Kit. Waht do you think, can we start be creative and have fun crafting? So Let´s go. Here are the three recipe ingredients:
1) Use a Photo of you where you start a new adventure
2) Create Trios
3) Use dark blue elements
During these difficult times, vacations and adventures are rare and therefore supposedly no material is available to use the great May Kit "Journeys". But I tell you, there are also adventures during your everyday life. So you don't have to take out the photos of the last few years. You can record your little daily adventures in your Life Crafted album. These are, for example, new adventures, such as a new job, a new hobby, a move or something similar. Use my inspiration from 3-to-inspire and use an image of you where you start the new (little or big) daily adventure.
For example, I recorded my first day at work. I finished my studies in September 2019 and the new year also had a job ready for me. This is a big change and therefore a little adventure.
Next ingredient is "create trios". Trios are pleasant to the eye. There are many ways to apply the 3 rule to keep an eye on the whole project. On my page in the Life Crafted Album, I used the rule of three to generate focus in two places. This is on the top left with a combination of 3 labels and the other on the bottom right around the photo.
In my projects I like to work with one color as a focus. In combination with the rule of 3, the project can work very harmoniously. Particularly strong colors are suitable for such a focus. I used dark blue here. Give it a try too!
I hope you enoyed the little inspiration for the 3-to-inspire and motivated you to get creative yourself. I am glad that you stopped by and we will see us again soon.

3-to-inspire with Nikki
Hello Citrus Twist Kits Friends,
Nikki here with a new 3-to-inspire inspiration in my Life Crafted Album created with the April Life Crafted Kit. Your three recipe ingredients are:
1. Create a pocket
2. Add a shaker element
3. Use chipboard stickers
I love to create pockets. You can add so many things to them like tickets, maps, more photos and a lot more. So the first challenge is, to create a pocket. You can do a one page pocket like me or a smaller one in one of the page protectors.
Next step is to add a shaker element. Such an element creates a little sneak peak of the next page or another element which is behind it. You also get a little sparkle on your page and who doesn´t love that? ;)
For some dimension combine chipboard stickers with die cuts or thin stickers. You can add the stickers directly on the page protectors or on the papers.
I hope you enoyed the little inspiration for the 3-to-inspire and motivated you to get creative yourself. I am glad that you stopped by and we will see us again soon.

Sunday Sketch with Nikki
Nikki here with the second page of my be loved Life Crafted Album which I created with the amazing new April Life Crafted Kit and the newest Sunday Sketch. I love the color combination for this kit and all these flower prints. What about you, whats yout favorite thing about this collection?
Before I will show you my page you can find the beautiful Sunday Sketch here:
And this is my interpretation of the sketch. For my page I chose the colors rose and dark blue with some gold/yellow elements. Due to the size of the page, I chose one instead of two photos and stuck the photo on one of the cards to create a frame.
I took the sheets and the label from the sketch and trapped them around the photo. With 3D foam stickers you can make the leaves more lively and give the page more depth. In addition to the leaves, I also applied this to small elements such as the stars.
On the opposite side I wanted to implement the sketch further or take over elements such as the leaves. Here I added flowers for the design and added color accents with Enamel Dots.
When I was journaling, I tried a white font because it fits perfectly with the dark blue in combination with the delicate tones. I love how it turns out.
I hope you enjoyed the little inspiration for the Sunday Sketch and motivated you to get creative yourself. I am glad that you stopped by and we will see us again soo.

Sunday Sketch with Nikki
Hello Citrus Twist Kits Fans,
Nikki here with a inspiration for a scrapbook layout which I created with this week´s Sunday Sketch and the March Life Crafted Kit. Here is the sketch:
I love that the striped layout creates a lot of room for creativity. It is so versatile and you can freely combine the axes.
This is my version of implementing the sketch. As you can see, I have reinterpreted the stripes and replaced the three-way combination of the photos with bags in which a photo and the journaling have their place.
For the stripes in the background, I randomly cut a pattern paper into stripes so that they are crooked. This makes the background a little more lively and you can also work with smaller papers.
The bags were created from the journal cards. I sewed the stripes in the background and the bags with the sewing machine. The seams give the layout a certain something :)
After the base was finished, I cut the cards for into the pockets. With the Puffy Stickers, Alpha Stickers and Die Cuts I then decorated everything and finished the layout.
I hope you enjoyed the little inspiration for the sunday sketch and motivated you to get creative yourself. I am glad that you stopped by and we will see us again soo.

Start in to 2020 Life Crafted with Nikki Kehr
Hello Citrus Twist Kits Fans,
Nikki here with my first blogpost as a new Design Team Member from Citrus Twist Kits. Life Crafted is a completely new territory for me and at the beginning of the year I decided to give it a try. At that time, I had no idea that I would be included in the Citrus Twist Kits Design Team. Therefore you are there live as I step by step to the new project and I can hardly wait to work with the great products from Citrus Twist Kits. And how do you best start a new project? Of course, with a nice title page and that's what my post today is about. Let´s get started :)
Before I decided to start Life Crafted, I had been doing Project Life since 2013. At the beginning of each year I wrote down what I want to achieve in the coming year and the date of major upcoming events. I always liked that very much, so I wanted to include it in my Life Crafted album. So I first designed a small pocket in which all the notes find their place.
As a little highlight like a kind of peek a boo effect, I didn't stick the title of the album directly on my pocket but on a page out of vellum. All important facts now have a place here. The year 2020 and that it is about memories of our daily life.
I hope you enjoyed the little inspiration of my title page and motivated you to get creative yourself. I am glad that you stopped by and we will see us again soon with my first memory in my new Life Crafted album.
