Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Menara air peninggalan Belanda. Menara ini selesai pembangunannya pada tahun 1928. Menara air ini terletak di Jl. Slamet Riyadi no. 50A, Murni, Telanaipura, Kota Jambi, Jambi, Indonesia, 36124. Menara ini berfungsi untuk menampung air minum. Selain itu, dahulu menara ini difungsikan sebagai menara kontrol untuk mengintai musuh yang kemungkinan berlalu-lalang di Sungai Batanghari.

Menara ini terdiri dari tiga bangunan, satu bangunan yang paling tinggi yaitu 3 tingkat, merupakan bangunan induk yang berada di tengah, dan dua bangunan lainnya yang lebih rendah yaitu dua tingkat yang terletak di samping kanan dan kirinya dengan luas bangunan berdiameter 9.360 m dan tinggi 24.150 m.

Menara ini juga pernah dipakai untuk tempat pertama kali pengibaran bendera merah putih pada tanggal 19 Agustus 1945 oleh dua orang pemuda yaitu R. Husni Akip dan M. Amin Aini dengan dikawal oleh beberapa orang pemuda.
