Deutsch: Ost-west Querschnitt der Wassertiefen (Bathymetrie) von dem Teil des Atlantischen Ozeans in dem der Air France Flug 447 abstürzte. Der Ausschnitt wurde der General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans (GEBCO) entnommen, die vom Britischen Oceanographischen Zentrum erstellt wurde. Die in 30 Bogensekunden gerasterte Darstellung wurde heruntergeladen von "Gridded bathymetric data sets" unter http://www.bodc.ac.uk/data/online_delivery/gebco/. Das Bild wurde mit Global Mapper 8.0 und Adobe Illustrator CS2 aufbereitet.
English: East-west bathymetric cross-section across of part of Atlantic Ocean in which Air France Flight 447 crashed. This cross-section was prepared from General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans (GEBCO) compiled by the British Oceanographic Centre. The 30 arc-second gridded bathymetric data was downloaded from "Gridded bathymetric data sets" at http://www.bodc.ac.uk/data/online_delivery/gebco/. Image was prepared using Global Mapper 8.0 and Adobe Illustrator CS2.

Français : Section bathymétrique Est-Ouest de l'océan Atlantique sur la zone de disparition du vol Air France 447. Cette coupe a été réalisée à partir de la General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans (GEBCO) par le British Oceanographic Centre. Les données bathymétriques reportées sur un diagramme gradué en 30 secondes d'arc ont été téléchargées depuis "Gridded bathymetric data sets" at http://www.bodc.ac.uk/data/online_delivery/gebco/. L'image a été réalisée avec les logiciels Global Mapper 8.0 et Adobe Illustrator CS2.
