English: From the first movement of Béla Bartók's Contrasts (1938). Verbunkos was a stately and stylized hungarian recruiting dance "measured in rhythm and rich in melodic embellishments characterized by the theme" (Seiber, 1949).
Français : Extrait du premier mouvement de Contrasts (1938), de Béla Bartók. Le verbunkos était une danse de recrutement hongroise majestueuse et stylisée « mesurée en rythme et riche en embellissements mélodiques caractérisés par le thème » (Seiber, 1949).
Magyar: Bartók Béla Kontrasztok című művének (1938) első tételéből. A verbunkos egy impozáns, stilizált magyar toborzótánc volt, „ritmusban kimért, a téma által jellemzett dallamdíszítésekben gazdag” (Seiber, 1949). |
