Object history
Deutsch: Die Zange steht für die Ortspatronin, die hl. Apollonia. Der rote Stern weist auf den Gründer des 1324 erstmalig erwähnten Hofes Kolverath, Friedrich von Daun, genannt Colver,hin. Er führte in seinem Wappen drei Sterne neben dem Dauner Gitter und hat dem Ort den Namen gegeben. Die eingeschobene Spitze soll den Hochkelberg sybolisieren, auf dem nach der Sage ein goldener Wagen vergraben ist. Hierfür wurde das goldene Wagenrad in den unteren Wappenteil aufgenommen.
